    U2100 - Multimeter help?

Probably a bit of a silly question, although I'm new to electrical diag. Troubleshooting an intermittent "Service Stabilitrak" with codes U2100, U2107, and U1096. The diag trees have me following U2107, then U2100, then U1096, it would appear. U2107 starts me with using the Tech2 to check if...

    ABS Module for 2006 XLR-V (15855367 / 15855368)

Ah, yep, I bet that’s the case. The official procedure assumes a brand new greenfield module; while one that’s already programmed may work. I can’t imagine the EBCM really needs to be VIN specific.

    ABS Module for 2006 XLR-V (15855367 / 15855368)

The service procedure for replacing EBCM calls for programming using SPS, unfortunately. Apparently this calls for both a Tech2 and a TIS terminal.

    Compression test procedure

Based on the info in the procedure from post 27, use Dexron LS and do not add any friction modifier. It already has friction modifier in it. 88862624 Is the current part number. That is for the rear differential. Re:flushing, I may be a little risk averse but I’ve heard too many stories...

    Compression test procedure

Transmission fill procedure and then check procedure. Check to be done when trans temp is between 86-122 degrees F, check plug torque spec is 25Nm.

    Compression test procedure

I’ll be doing this job soon myself. Transmission service. It calls for removing the transmission mount nuts: there are four, torque spec is 50Nm.

    Compression test procedure

Diff fluid replacement…. And interestingly enough the service manual does call for 2.12 quarts (2 liters) of Dexron LS gear oil

    Compression test procedure

Adding some context, as Mickey observed there are some part number supercessions, for historical reference and searchability. Manual in car calls for 75w90 12378261 meeting GM spec 9986115; and 4oz limited slip additive 1052358. In attached chart, they show 89021677 and same limited slip...

    Compression test procedure

Got you fam. Gimme a day or two on the procedures, I’ll note that I’d personally avoid flushing the trans for me it’s just a pan drop fluid and filter change. The info about fluids we do have here: Post in thread 'Compression test procedure' Compression test procedure

The later coil connector; with the locator tab. Posting these just so there’s a visual reference.

    Help! Ignition system testing help

I recognize this is an extension of the conversation that started on the other thread. Disclaimer - I personally have not serviced an XLR ignition system so part of what I’ll say is only my experience in other coil on plug engines. I have seen the boots be the point of failure, usually if they...

    Compression test procedure

Charge air cooling system is a little bit more involved, it has you using the tech2 to cycle the electric pump.

    Compression test procedure

Cooling system pretty straightforward. The steps cut off from second photo are just “let engine cool, top off coolant if necessary, inspect for leaks.”
