    Deck lid position switch mount needs to be replaced

    Long story short.... Battery died, had to use the key in the rear bumper to push the rear deck (trunk) open to access the manual drivers side door release so that I could open the engine hood and replace the battery. In the process of pushing the rear deck open, the lifting mechanism snagged...

    Got rid of my Mag Ride Shocks!

    Just got rid of my mag shocks as well today. Replaced with Bilsteins and the Corvette simulators from Caspers. No more clunk from the driver's rear wheel!

    Roof Delamination

    Heard some wind noise coming from the right side of the windshield / roofline. Upon investigation I saw a bit if delamination. Shot an email to socialmedia@gm.com. We'll see what comes of that. Also posted on FB asking for a local body shop that does fiberglass work. Any DIY recommendations?

    Another Trunk Strut Thread

    On the good side, I got the drivers side tunk strut replaced tonight. Not a horrible task. On the bad side I noticed some wind noise between the windshield / roofline. Upon inspection there's a bit of delamination. Ugh....I'll start another thread for that. Thanks all!

    Thanks gents. Tried the clamp method and the ring clamps kept slipping. So I removed the star screw and got the passenger side on fairly easy. Was short on time, so just took a quick try on the drivers side. Meh....thats going to take a bit more time than I had. Tight spacing on the bottom...

    Another Trunk Strut Thread

    Seems theres a lot on here, and apologize if this is a repeat. Has anyone ever used the wire & ring clamp method w/a pipe clamp shown here? I got my struts in today and thought I might give it a go. Worse case I mess up both struts and Im out $30.
