    05 engine oil leak

They can put a dye in the oil and the leak(s) will show up under a "black" light inspection...

    F-22 Raptor at Farnborough

I flew F-4's back in the dark ages, and it just amazes me what the next generation (F-15/F-16/F-18) fighters could do, and now what the latest generation (F-22/F-35) can do...

    Oil leak survey

I get a few drips out of my '05. I'll just replace the cardboard under it every 6 months or so. My Northstar Allante didn't leak a drop...

    Oil leak survey

In the boat business, we use the Blue Tops - even deeper cycle capable. I use 5 in my Sea Ray 450...

    Dead battery ..... Again

Lola's Mom, I used an Odyssey PC1230 AGM. I also use Odyssey's in my boat and they run two refrigerators, stereo, and lights when we don't have the generator running - they do really well. I do use the radio "while I wait" function on the X car, but I only run the top with the engine running...

    Dead battery ..... Again

I know we've talked about this before, but my AGM battery solved that problem for me. I can go a month and it starts right up...

Cadillac considering new flagship, two-seat sports car??

You and me Granddaddy - I just turned over 58K and she is my daily driver - except on bad weather days - then the Denali does its work. Makes it really comfortable to drive to work. My '93 Allante only had 19K on her when I sold her last year, and now I wish that I'd driven her daily as well...

Help! Should I buy this 2006 XLR for 25K?

Just a little financial advice here: DON'T EVER SPEND HALF YOUR SAVINGS ON A POSSIBLY EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN CAR!

Do you use your XLR as a daily driver/commuter car?

I didn't see my colleague from the Allante site "MoneyPit" chime in yet - I seem to recall he drove his Northstar Allante for a LOT of miles. I drove my '93 Northstar Allante only 19,000 miles in 19 years. I enjoy my XLR so much that I've made it my daily driver - as a semi-retired guy, it comes...

From the "What the heck do THEY know" department!

That was the Allante's one advantage over the XLR! From a former '93 Allante owner...

Lois-Dreyfus's comments about her new show "Veep"

I'm always amazed how easy it is to be a liberal democrat when you are from a wealthy family - and didn't earn any of it. Google her name w/ France...

Clunk from the front passenger side suspension?

My Mom is in Nashville and Crest takes care of her Cadillac CTS. She's 88 and I take it in for her for service when I am in town. I've not been impressed with Andrews either....

Clunk from the front passenger side suspension?

Are you using Crest or Andrews?

Misc thoughts: Push-button stop, Devil keyfob, shifting and walmart.

It picks up my #1 key fob (it will say Driver 1 on startup). But if I get out and close my door first, and she is still in the car with her fob in her purse, three beeps of the horn are the result...

    Optima Battery

Since I installed my PC1230 14 months ago, I have not had to use my CTEK tender - and there have been some one month long "no driving" periods. My PC1230 had the terminals in the correct position...

places I have and have not been

Hey Rod - have you ever met, or do you know "Jack Schitt"? This one always cracks me up: You don't know Jack Schitt... The lineage is now revealed. Many people are at a loss for a response when someone says "You don't know Jack Schitt," but now you can handle this situation with confidence...
