I'm no expert but it does sound like the struts are bad, I would start there. That may solve your problem and it's not difficult or expensive. Good luck
I once had the trunk open and then I put the top down from the trunk open position and had no problem, but I never tried it the other way. I don't have any answers but I think a power top relearn with a Tech2 may solve the problem.
That sounds about right, I know the center piece is about that. I'm not sure of the length maybe about 12-14 inches as they appears to connect to the center piece as I see there is a hole in the ends of the center piece. There must be a flange on the top also for mounting. I may be interested if...
You're welcome
Good luck on the repairs, hopefully it's just the rear cable bushing. That's the easier one to replace, you can see it just in front of the trans when you look up between the exhaust pipes. You can easily reach up an shift the trans into park from there also.
There is a leaver just above the floor light by the emergency brake, hard to see unless you remove the cover plate but if you reach your finger up just past the light you will find it. I don't know for sure but I think that will release the brake. Safety first, good luck.
I have the Tech2 and I'm still learning it's capabilities but it seems to do everything I have needed and has already saved me money. I tried a scanner made by Xtool, do not buy that one. Not only did it not work for the XLR, it caused problems that I was able to fix with the Tech2.
I believe they are called left and right valance (air dame) they mount under the front bumper. I have the center piece but I need both ends. Any help?
Thanks,
Dennis
You have to try everything, what do you have to lose. There is always the chance it's defective, it sounds like you're doing everything right. Good luck
I think you need to remove the windshield post covers first, the drivers side has the microphone in it so be careful removing the wires. My memory is a little fuzzy on this but I believe you need to remove the center stack face plate because there is a screw holding down the dash cover by the...
I have found that a lot of the problems with my car were due to loose wire connections, I would start there before you spend any more money. Inspect and clean every wire connection you can find, including grounds. Even if it doesn't help you will learn a little more about your car. Good luck...
