Problem solved! Just a matter of the sensors being too old and the batteries dead. Amazon came through again. BTW, one horn chirp was all that was needed to get into learn mode. Ignore the two chirp business.

I put after market wheels on my 2005 base XLR thus I have the originals left over. I am in SE Iowa and just curious if there is any value in them. I would hate to ship.

The BCM do not show any problems. I assume that you meant the RCDLR rather than the RDCDL and if so it shows that the door handle switches are inactive but everything else is okay. I have noticed that several individuals state that they only get one horn chirp when starting the learn process...
Here is an updated image from my Tech 2 and you will see that the "Learn in Progress" shows a "Yes" but if I hold both the lock and unlock it will go to "No" and then back to "Yes" if I hold them both again. But if I go around to each wheel with the appropriate magnet it will switch back to "No"...
This is what I get on my Tech 2 and it says learn but nothing is happening. There just has to be someone out there that can tell me how to get two chirps when I hold lock and unlock at the same time.
I appreciate your prompt reply but the main fob that I tried is Fob #1 and then I tried Fob #2 so that idea is kind of out the window. I thought maybe the batteries in the sensors were dead but that would not stop the horn from chirping twice. I put new wheels on the vehicle but I don't know if...
Just putting the car in accessory mode, closing the door, and pressing lock and unlock at the same time on my fob (I have tried two fobs). I only get on chip from the horn rather than two. Even though I only get one chirp I still have tried going to the left front wheel/tire and holding a magnet...
Hey, thanks a bunch it was really appreciated. I have attached two images, one with the brake pedal not pressed and one with the brake pedal pressed all the way down. What exactly does those images tell me?
Don
As the title states the cruise control does not work and the car will start without pressing the brake. Do you think that one thing could be causing both problems? Maybe the brake switch, etc.?

I had this 2005 XLR delivered on Christmas Eve of 2024 and just drove it for the first time yesterday (04/13/2025). First I had put new chrome wheels on it, clay bared it, and cleaned it all up in general. The top worked fine for the first two days and then quit working. I just finished putting...
Okay, I will answer my own answer. I filled the fluid up to the maximum and tried the re-lean a couple of times which raised the front tonneau cover about 3/4 up as it has been in the past. Then I raised and lowered the trunk three times and then checked my fluid level and it was down to halfway...
I have re-indexed the windows several times and also did a re-learn with my Tech 2 but no joy. The Tech 2 just says "in progress" but never completes.
When you get right down to it the basic problem is that the cylinder that raises the front tonneau cover is simply not moving far enough thus the...
2005 XLR, top worked when I got it in late December but has not worked since.
- The top switch on the console does not do anything unless my Tech 2 is connected.
- If the Tech 2 is connected the front tonneau cover will come only about 3/4 of the way up and that is all that happens when the...
