Wow... sorry to hear your having trouble with your top.
Where are you located Vinnie?
My top stopped working after failure of the hydraulic pump and top control module which were both replaced in less than a week by the Service Tech at Parkway Cadillac in Santa Clarita. They’ve been great and...
I have a Volant CAI on my ‘06 V.
I replaced the OEM intake when I got the car 4 years and 15k miles
ago. I get a random CEL which codes a “lean or rich” fuel/air mixture, but it passes in short order.
Otherwise no issues.

John-
I’m right across the valley from you in Granada Hills. I have my 2006 XLR-V serviced at Dave’s 60 Minute Tune on Balboa just north of Rinaldi here in GH. Dave has owned both XLR’s as well as an STS-V. They’ve solved computer issues that kept triggering my CEL, replaced my shocks/struts...
Saw this on one of my Facebook groups and downloaded the Kindle Edition for a whopping $3.99.
It’s a great read and covers a lot of interesting XLR development facts, particularly in V Series form.

I see. I’ve never heard of swapping the XM module with a Bluetooth link. I’ve heard of replacing the OnStar with BlueStar but with very mixed results.

Welcome MGib. Congratulations on your acquisition. A lot of us have replaced the same parts you’ve mentioned including hood struts. If you were able to get some warranty coverage when you bought the car you might be covered for them.
Check for leaky shocks as those seals go after a decade of...
Well, it’s a sign that you’re very much enjoying her. I purchased mine 3 years ago today with 40404 miles on the old. I’m at 53250 today. Big, dumb smile on my mug for virtually every single mile. [emoji267][emoji41][emoji267]

WOW...so you pay 2400€ just to register the car every year???!!!
Does that include insurance???
I live in California and I though our fees are high. I paid $275 to register last year and that includes $45 for a vanity plate.

As I understand it, the Mary Kay program cars were all leased so when returned at the end of the term they are restored to the original color of Light Platinum. That way no “Mary Kay Pink” cars are supposed to fall into “civilian” hands.
I’m sure that some cars are sold before the repaint...
Welcome Ron!! Congratulations on your acquisition! Lots of great people and good information on this site. Happy motoring!!

Boy that is the truth. I was reading in another thread about how they actually painted the Mary Kay cars silver at the Bowling Green plant and shipped them to Michigan (Presumably Hamtramck) to disassemble them and apply the Mary K Pink. Not sure why they would go to all that trouble, but then...
Welcome aboard Kat! Congratulations on acquiring an XLR. What an amazing gift to get!!
Is it a former Mary K car, or was it custom painted for the previous owner? Either way I’m sure you’ll stand out in it.
Have fun!!!
