IS A XLR A GOOD RELIABLE USED CAR 2007 98000KM

According to my calculator, it's closer to C$33K. FWIW Hope all goes well. Best case would be for you to find a Caddy dealer open, with a Certified XLR Tech. Short of that, I suggest you exercise the top up/down a few times, vigorously test drive it, verify the operation of the manual-shift...

    Yet another new Member here

Over 3 decades in the service. We all thank you!!! :patriot::patriot::patriot: Pretty darned CS of the cop to write you, IMO. What was HE driving? Sometimes I find myself wondering, "Hmmmm.... wonder what HE has under the hood...". Kind of a fantasy, but it comes up all too frequently when...

    Help! three beeps

There was a great response to this question of the "3 Beeps" on this forum, but I can't find it. It basically said that: on '06 models and older, as I recall, that the detection of the fob was defective, but there's a technical update (applied via Tech2) that fixes it. It seems that our fobs...

Well, >=2006 has my vote, FWIW. Tim :thumbsup

    Headlamp Question

Auto-Mode; Auto-Mode Don't forget: the light system has to be in AUTO mode for the sweeping lights to work. My system seems to work well, and really handy in dark, curvy places with a resident deer herd (like where we live :chuckle). Tim

    Headlamp Question

Try Here Suggest you PM "MTRocket", in Billings, MT. Rod had a brand new set of headlights for sale last summer. Don't know if he still has them, but it's worth a short note to find out. FWIW :dunno: Tim

    Tech 2 pays for itself!

I've inadvertently "butt dialed" my trunk switch on the remote, too. Someone suggested using the valet switch, if it's something that happens a lot. My "cure" was to put the fob in a little, nylon case, with a velcro closure. This usually protects it, in my case, anyhow.:( Tim

    pinhole in windshield

ATTN: MTRocket Rod, you repair these for a living. Any advice? Tim

    Do you see XLRs??

Thumbs UP for the "I''m only 66" comment. :thumbsup Great attitude. FYI, I've redefined "elderly" as someone more than 10 years older than I. Tim LXXV BTW, we thank you for your service, Al. :patriot:

Fuel Pump & fuel gage sending unit.

Highly non-trivial job, Dave. It took my dealer a couple of days to do it (thank God the dealer I bought it from had to foot THAT bill.). If you don't have an extended warranty, get out your wallet. It's a bear. :( BTW, it seems that we have the same fuel system as the 'Vette, so a Chevy...

Help! Driver 1 & 2, seat ejection: Sandy needs HELP!

Sandy, I had this same thing happen on my '06. I just reprogrammed the "eject" parameters (seat and steering wheel positions) and it's been fine since. Guess older cars also have "memory" issues. :chuckle Try that, and see if it helps. :dunno: Tim

Difficult to open door easy fix

The Price of "Fly by Wire" There are quite a few "fly-by-wire" (FBW) functions on the XLR. One can think of the door-open switch as sending a REQUEST to have the CAR open the door. If all the stars are aligned, and the car's in a good mood, it'll comply. If not, it's time for plan "B" (which...

    Dual Exhaust Tips

Dunno, Paul. It's just different. :dunno: Maybe one of our Canadian friends will chip in on this. How 'bout it, MadMac, GrayToad, Black Brutis??? Tim

    Dual Exhaust Tips

Know of any reason your badging is reversed on the trunk? The NorthStar medallion is usually on the driver's side, as far as I know. FWIW p.s. Thx for the tip on the tips. Tim

    Help! Check engins light

Leaks? One other thing that crops up when folks mess with the air intake (besides the MAF sensor), is leakage. A loose or too tight clamp, or bad fit can cause an air leak (remember, it's sucking air through there) that tends to provide more air than the engine is expecting, when the leak is...

    changed out exhaust???

There seem to be 3 models of the Corsa: The Touring, the Sport, and the "Make your ears bleed". Which do y'all run, and how do you like the model you picked? Tim

    Storage ideas

I've ordered one of their dual-slot USB adapters. Should get here Monday. Thanks for the tip!!! The ashtray DID come out, after I got the cup holder out of the way, and "gronked" on the ashtray a bit (straight back). On mine, nothing was glued, just really tight. I cleaned everything up and...

    Something different

Fruit Color When I was a kid, we had a '55 Mercury that was kind of that color. They called it, "Persimmon". Not my personal preference. :( Tim

    The Weather Channel

Thanks, Dan. I have an iPhone 5C, so I'll try it. That, BTW, is the same "secret handshake" that I have to use to re-boot the phone's communications link w/ my router. I just have to hold it for about 5 seconds, and the phone re-boots. Congrat's on the article about Roxy! :thumbsup Tim...
