I have the "Cure for the common curb" which I think is aka "Curb Alert" on my 06 and it works pretty good except when the cement parking blocks are at an angle. Then by the time it gives it's double beep the curb is already under the front of the car. I've been thinking of installing a second...

Help! SOS!!! Parking brakes/brake lights ...

RA, I made some suggestions on your other post. I have cured several of my old DOS computers that had quit working by simpling removing the internal battery, removing the microprocessor and cleaning any dust off the motherboard. Then I replaced the microprocessor then a new battery. This...

    Dead battery ..... Again

Here's a suggestion RA, Ask Ray to disconnect the + battery cable and then connect the charger directly to the battery and set it to trickle charge over night. Disconnecting the battery from the car protects the cars electronics and also lets them reset to the factory defaults which will clear...

    Dead battery ..... Again

RA, Have Ray check the Battery Cables to Battery Post connections. This cable clamping system leaves a lot to be desired IMHO. I remember the first OEM battery I had replaced at Martin Cadillac in Bowling Green, KY. they didn't get the negative terminal properly tighten and for several months I...

    Dead battery ..... Again

After having to replace the second OEM battery in my XLR within two and a half years of ownership, I choose the Sears' Diehard INT GRP 47. This is a direct replacement battery with the correct post placement and it is rated at 600 CCA. (Cold Cranking Amps) It's less expensive than the OEM...

Driver Position 1 & 2 buttons on the corner of the driver’s seat.

With a fresh battery in the FOB, my distance is about 1/2 of a city block with the car in the garage. So maybe a block line of sight.

    notification box question

Thanks Rod, That worked for me also.

    notification box question

I found out by reducing the mag.% from 100 to 75% (bottom right hand corner of my monitor) it moves that line out so the "Notication, etc" are not on top of the other fields.

    notification box question

    Same here.

    Key fob problem

Sorry but the last part of this statement is incorrect. Because the closing of the trunk is the last operation of opening or closing of the top, it can be closed from inside the car by simply pushing and holding the top up or down which ever mode it's in will close the trunk lid. This works...

    Nav disk

Hawkeye, I notice that you have an 06. So do I and I found out something very interesting. Bring up the Planned Route screen and hold your finger on the right lower corner of the screen for about 10 to 20 seconds. On my NAV system, another panel pops up and if I touch the "RUN" screen button...

2012 Texas Mile - Beeville, Tx 26-28 Oct.

I just checked AccuWeather.com and it predicts sunny and in the high 70s from the 24th through the 29th BUT there may be morning showers on the 27th. I hope that dosen't happen, the last LSR at El Mirage Dry Lake here in CA. got cancelled because the lake wasn't dry! My neighbor and I were going...
