Help! rack n pinion for 2005 XLR

Hmm? Gold Mist, the 'fastest color'. Oh my, here I go again with XLRating. I probably should leave this alone. Just can't help myself.

    15th year BG plant homecoming reunion Sept 26 - 28 2018

Hi Dan, Chad, Tim, Army Al, Doug, Sandy, Amy, et al. It truly was a 'Blast'. What a great time. We still talk about The Bowling Green Rally and all the great XLR People we met. A really nice cruise and great accommodations. Well planned by Chad! --- Anyone heard from Sandy or Steve? ---...

    New Member Florida 2007

Welcome To The XLR Site : ) Hi Michael, Welcome aboard! FYI, I am familiar with having to repair the upholstery. A couple of years ago I forgot and climbed into the driver's seat with an open end wrench in my hip pocket. Yup, the fork end facing up of course. :( Ripped the heck out of the side...

    Performance Mods for 2006 XLR-V?

Welcome! Welcome to The XLR Site. I do think "Infrared" is correct. In spite of prior kidding back and forth with "XLR Rating", I think all The XLR's are beautiful. Do love The Infrared.

    06 XLR - Did I make a mistake???

Hi Kevin. Yup, Lake Dillon this year is full to over flowing. This year, from droughts in recent past years, to the snowiest wettest winter I think on record? As mentioned before, April May and June were cancelled. Went from winter to Fourth of July. Since, it has been rain, rain and more rain...

Help! Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensor replacement

Discount Tire, Maybe? FYI, I bought my Bridgestone Run Flats at Discount Tire. Since the sensors of the TPMS are inside the tire and the tire must be broken down to change them. I just let them do it and they do the reprogramming as well. I think $35.00 per tire, maybe it was $45.00? But close...

    06 XLR - Did I make a mistake???

Hi Back Amy. Shirley says Hi back, to you, and high to Mike. --- Yes, FINALLY we are in Summer. Spring here got cancelled this year by Mother Nature. We were saying somehow (?) we need to try to get her back on her Meds. Not kidding. April, May and June were cancelled. We went from Winter...

    06 XLR - Did I make a mistake???

Hi Amy! : ) Hope all is well with you and yours. --- To the Newbies on this site, FYI, this Lady's car is immaculate! As in I mean, 'perfect'. She is a detailing 'Master'. Not kidding here. And I thought I was anal retentive. By comparison, 'NOT'. If you want your ride to look spectacular, pay...

    06 XLR - Did I make a mistake???

So True! Yup, that's how it works! On my truck I "obsessed" about one microscopic pit in the new paint that I forgot to glaze before I spray painted the driver's side last year and blended the paint. Now after 'marrying' that side to my neighbors split rail fence earlier this year, "suddenly"...

    06 XLR - Did I make a mistake???

Hi Dan, : ) Presently 'Gold Beauty' has been a bit shunted off to the side as I have taken a deep dive into The Eldorado Convertible. We do cruise in The XLR occasionally. Yet The Eldorado having just 'sat' for approximately 20+ years needs, and has lots of work required. Mostly from seals and...

    Storage Compartment Issue

Welcome Aboard! Welcome to The XLR Site. Great cars and better people. ;) Hope you got the center console storage issue sorted. Mine so far (knock on wood) is still working OK. So maybe something else in the future I may have to deal with? Welcome To The XLR Site.

    06 XLR - Did I make a mistake???

Welcome! : ) Welcome to The XLR Site. Yes, the light asemblies on these cars are most certainly an 'expensive issue' should they need to be replaced as is the Module For The Top in the trunk. These potential issues 'come with the territory' on these beautiful cars. Yet, to me the uniqueness...

NEW OWNER TO 2004 XLR NEIMAN MARCUS EDITION

I guess I "assumed" the new High Mount ones now available are "aftermarket". Oops. : ) When I got my car someone had opened the trunk deck lid up into something and had cracked it. At that time the replacement ones were not available. Very minor crack. I then ordered one that appeared to be...

NEW OWNER TO 2004 XLR NEIMAN MARCUS EDITION

Hi again Debbie, Wow! How considerate and proactive of you. "Where there's a will there's a way" comes to mind. ;) So far I haven't needed to replace any body parts on mine except for the High Mount Brake Light (which was a story unto itself, before the aftermarket ones became available). Your...
