I have never done a radio swap nor listen to radio but I have read a lot of post that without the factory amplifier the adaptive cruise will not work. So you are saying that is not true?
just move on. A stiffer shock will not "hold" the car higher or lower.. it only works on bounce and rebound. You must have missed something in the video. it take 60 pounds to compress a factory shock. once compressed half way that lowers to 20 pounds of pressure to hold it in place .that will...
that must have been some really old gas. as fireduck says .its not a high tech repair but it is a lot of nuts and bolts and a pretty high labor price to pull the tanks. any Corvette shop in the area would have done it before and know the labor
big language problem apparently, .The fe1 shocks I have changed I have thrown out about 10 sets of those as their is no market for them .No one wants them. Warranty has nothing to do with replacing the shocks. same as customers are off to the wheel and tire store with In a week or so of buying a...
pumps are out there 100$ delco reman or new also out there less than 200$ . Plenty of them . Just ashamed they hit you so hard on the job. you really need to look for a good independent on nuts and bolts sort of repair. any alignment shop would have changed this out for about 1/2 that and been...
well its only a cable that mounts to a different part of the lock to release it. I did not say it would not open the trunk. I said it would not affect the system. It manually moves the lock where the solenoid is attached. Please let me know how that is going to cause the trunk to close??? she...
in answer to part of your question. the key slot In the bumper is a mechanical cable release and just unlocks the trunk when there is loss of electrical power to the car.. It should not have anything to do with the hydraulic opening and closing of the trunk.
there is lots of information on this site but I have never had any success searching with the above box. I can put a simple term in there and nothing comes up. However if I go to google and put in say "trunk lock switch forum" it will take me right to a thread. Might give it shot or the above...
you will not be happy with the soft ride corvette shocks. I have pulled them off new corvettes and that's the first thing people hate is the ride they give. If you go over to read the corvette forums the people that buy the bilsteins base shocks say they are no better than the stock shocks...
what you want and has been proven to work well is the z06 upgrade . that is a step up for the older z06 shocks and many people corvette and XLR run them . They are as good or better than the base Bilstein's The performance Bilstein shocks seem to be pretty good for performance cars lowered...
I think from his other post the light came on and he is looking to replace the shocks to fix the light issue.. As we know the module must work for the mag shocks or the simulators to work. he may have a blown shock or a unplugged harness but only a tech 2 I believe will tell him that. New Mag...
in your opinion based on what?
we are a professional shop and set up spring rates for dozens of cars. Nascar to lemans . looks has little to do with spring rates. we have the tools and scales to actually tell what the spring rates are and have compared them and swapped the parts .My...
nope. if that light is on and you have not done anything to the shocks, the suspension module is most likely bad. If its bad they sell for 2000 used on ebay. no new ones available .If its bad then new shocks will do the same thing and a tech 2 will not clear the codes. There may be another...
if your suspension module works then go for the z06 shocks and simulators. hundreds have changed over and they work great and the cost for everything is less than 1/2 the mag shocks. mag shocks. Just remember mag shocks worked great when new and everything else on the car was new. many like...
here is a link to the stock type adjusters .Its hit or miss when they have them. I think someone makes a small run and they sell out fast. I have found the lowering ones work just fine with no problem and can still have the car level.
97-19 Stock Spring Adjuster Bolt Stop Pad 97-19 Front 05-19...
The xlr and corvette front weight difference in so slight it does not matter . .The rear of the xlr is heavier. with a different exhaust and non run flats the xlr comes in about 150 -175 total pound heavier than most corvettes base. the xlr weight is pretty close to claimed whereas the corvette...
most likely the shop spread the spring to put the shock In and the rubber adjuster fell out It usually breaks in half and stays put but if you take the pressure off it can fall out. A good used corvette spring and adjusters with low mileage can be had on ebay for 125-200$ An alignment shop will...
