@IGot2P thanks for your patience - posting steps here in case anyone else ever needs to look up how to check brake pedal position. It's listed as Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (and in the doco sometimes referred to as Brake Pedal Position Sensor or BPPS) but is basically the sensor that tells the car...
The tech2 can display brake pedal position, would watch that while doing things like pressing and releasing the pedal, opening the door, etc. Bet you’ll see some intermittent data
I'm seeing 12573350, assuming this is a non-V, and of course.... discontinued.
If I may ask two questions - any chance you were given an itemized list of what they include in a tuneup? And your Crossfire, is it a three-pedal one by chance? Those were another vehicle on my shortlist last time...
My car spent time in Arizona, so I assume the adhesives got a little baked, one end started to peel off and it just eventually worked its way loose over time. It stuck as is, but I’ll need to keep an eye on it, maybe use some adhesive if it comes off again.
Turns out this is the seal attached to the top closeout panel in the center, PN for the whole panel is 19152581 or 88956623 or 88956724, I was able to reattach mine.
Was doing the quarter window adjustment as my quarter windows have always landed a little too far “spread.” Following the procedure at https://gm.saturn.team/Cadillac/XLR/2006/58/30/5170/119707 mine has the second design without the turnbuckle.
Long story short, I’m a little clumsy and dropped...
Interesting find this weekend when I was replacing trunk lift supports. Found a loose piece of rubber edge/seal, but can’t determine where it came from. It’s 35 inches end to end, which is not a distance on any of the hard edges on my roof panels, at least not at my first poke around.
Ideas...
Good morning all, interested in determining if some of the sounds I’m hearing are normal XLR behavior or an item I should be digging into. Two sounds in particular:
1. Distinct metal on metal squeaking, usually heard 5-10 seconds after I open or close a door. Usually one single squeak like...
10440924 is the PN you’re looking for, discontinued…. The various rebuilt ones on rockauto all out of stock too, so I’m guessing that’s the story at all the usual retailers which brought you here.
Posting more info, as I made an interesting discovery last night. Disconnecting the rear UCA from the chassis (as well as shock, sway bar link, and height sensor) doesn’t get enough clearance to drop the LCA far enough to get the height adjuster out of the spring. There isn’t enough clearance...
That actually makes sense. I ended up a tad high on my fronts, so I’ll be adjusting them down to get within range (based on the physical measurements) and I’d expect by bringing them down slightly the at rest value would come up just a bit. Should bring me right to 2.5.
Circling back to this, got my tech2 back in action and am halfway through the project. Findings so far. Unsurprisingly, mickey is correct: the springs don't sag; my ride height drop was a result of the rubber pads on my adjuster screws being completely gone (and two of my four screws were...

They only list 07+ but the instructions worked for my 06. After you input your car it asks for the manufacturer of your garage door opener er and then provides specific instructions.
