so the last week of September.....
I really want to do this again, had fun at the 10th anniversary and would love to tour some local facilities, natural attractions and lots of local roads.
I take it you are talking about the last week of September, the first day I see mentioned is Tuesday -...
Welcome to the forum. Don't worry about your English, we will likely have a good idea of what you need to know and if we don't understand your the words you use, we will sort it out. We may have many languages here but we all speak 'XLR' and we are happy to help another XLR enthusiast. Owning...
count us in!?!

My only 'sticking point' is 'when' in September as I have an important charity fundraiser I am one of the primary leads of that takes place usually the last Tuesday of September..... actual date to be confirmed at our meeting...
I am assuming you did not buy the car at a Cadillac or GM dealership? They can certainly check out those codes for you and also check to see if the car has hand any hidden recalls etc that have not been resolved. As for the tail light, best check out the salvage yards. Someone here may have...
Get all your issues sorted out then?
Just a thought. I may be assuming wrong but I am guessing you have the stock exhaust system on the car? If you decide swap out a Corsa cat back system it is an easy bolt on system but I had my tail pipes custom welded so they dump into those stock 'dress...
You need to find a 'car guy' that cares enough to crawl under his car to get those dimensions......which is a tall order 'cause if he/she is a Car Guy then likely they no longer HAVE stock mufflers :dunno: . I am currently in Florida, my car has a Corsa system but there is a good chance I kept...
Wow how fast things change. 5 days ago I thought your side on Fl was going to get beat up and our side (North Port/Port Charlotte) side was just going to to get a good blowing. Now it has all changed and our side is going to get a whooping. Our home is built to withstand Florida storms and has...
Mostly replying to this post urging you to seek higher ground for both yourself (& family) and your XLR. Not sure what is going on in your county but in Charlotte county in the Port Charlotte harbor area is under mandatory evacuation due to storm surge.
Hope you stay safe.
RE those wheels...
Yes, you did steal it: good for you! :beerchug:
Considering your bargain I would spend the coin and consult the nearest Cadillac dealer who has a Mechanic with XLR knowledge..... which is hard to find. None the less all the dealers have access to the files on adjusting and repairing issues...
Dan: trying to cypher your tap talk message with lack of punctuation..... if you are saying it is a V.... That is not a V. '09 V's do not have the special tail pipes and DO say V on them. All 09's have the V style hood to mess you up.
Regardless, if that is not a 'typo' and you did pay 5...
Certainly would be 'something' to see them pass you by: there a Bandit Bird....and another ... and another......:burnout: That would be fun to witness and even more fun to be part of!
Just wondering: I have always wanted to go to this show (with one of our classics) but in the XLR I prefer trips like last years Shawshank/Rock n Roll Hall of Fame trip where we tour around as a group visiting interesting places.
Is there any interest by others to attend this show on the...
I stopped by a local car audio specialist shop and he asked me to find out about what was used for a mounting bracket as there are none listed for this unit to fit the XLR. He was also having trouble finding 2009 XLR listed in any of the references most of the listings were 2004 thru 2006. I...
Thanks Doug. Sounds like one good solution but I have been reading about the Elite plate and it has other benefits like rigidity etc so I am hoping to find out if that piece will for sure fit my car and although it is a bit pricey it is also supposed to really stop a ton of the heat :reddevil...
So that says 1997 to 2004 C5's.... so it the tunnel the same in our XLR's to the 04's C5's?
That link is great. If you follow the further info it explains the thermal difference as well there is a link to photos of its installation!
Just chiming in on this. :blinzel:
Picture this: Beautiful :chuckle blonde lady in her very early twilight years cruising down the road, top down, Rock music  making her day just right, singing along.......oblivious of the blinker ... :( ... Yup! You know how much it drives me crazy...
What did you use for heat shield and did you install under the car or did you remove the console? I have been wanting to do something about that - you never have to worry about a coffee going 'stone cold' in an XLR :squint:
