greetings fellow Canadian! Hi Gord, It is Graytoad, not greytoad but my friends call me Sandy! I live in the Hamilton Ontario area and there is another local guy on this forum, also 'Gord' and goes by Bakertech on the forum. We winter in Port Charlotte Florida where my XLR currently sits -...

    15th year BG plant homecoming reunion Sept 26 - 28 2018

You bet we bought it! It is a 1963 Jetfire: which was the first North American production Turbo vehicle! (Hit the streets a few weeks before the Corvair turbo for anyone who thought different) 215 Aluminum V8 that produces 215 HP and 300 fp torque and is liquid injected like the WW2 fighter...

Installed Volant "Cool Air" Intake - 2004 XLR

I would love to know what my problem was with the Volant. I had so many codes thrown due to the Volant my hubby took it off without saying anything to me. I did not notice any 'obvious' performance change and a few weeks later I commented how the car had not 'thrown a code for a while' when he...

Roof motor exchange and slow operation

Greetings from Canada! If you ever wonder why so many people Read a thread and say nothing it is because WE DON'T KNOW either, so at the very least I though I would at least post this reply. However, after a bit of thought I would check the time zones and call Tophydraulics and talk to them...

    Hi from Freeport NY

Just drive your X! I have owned mine for 8 years and drive it weather permitting and don't hesitate to take it on long trips: have driven it back and forth to Florida from Canada a couple of times and it is problem free. Yes, I am very particular on how it is maintained - but I am with all my...

Well said John. You bet these are awesome cars and hard to get parts - but if a car is well taken care of, problems are minimal. I have owned mine for 8 of it's 10+ years and intend to own it until I cant fit my big a$$ in an out of it any more or they pull my license for being to old and feeble.

    Do you see XLRs??

If it was Pepto Pink it would be ugly. Actually looked good: not good enough that I would want to seek out one to buy, but it did look good! If I was a Mary Kay rep and 'earned that car' I would LOVE that pink!

    Do you see XLRs??

MARY KAY pink sighted I dont usually bother posting when I see XLR's as I often do both here in Ontario as well as in Port Charlotte FL: However today I saw a pink 2009 Mary Kay car. The view in the photo is exactly all I got to see as it was not very close, don't now if the Mary Kay banner...

    Broken Console Cover

I laughed when I saw your post. I have owned my XLR for 9 years and the first 'flaw' I saw was the dent in that same trim panel. Kind of forgot it was there...… I am too busy smiling and looking forward as I 'Cruise on down the road'! It is annoying though, isn't it?! When a company puts...

    which is a better deal

wow, good find on the engine!........ and good choice on the car - hope it is all you dreamed it would be!

    which is a better deal

Obviously I am partial to the 09's, there were only 892 of the built all together and with the styling differences they are holding a much stronger resale price over the '08's. Even with 91,000 miles I think that is a very good deal assuming all is well with the car as Pure Zen pointed out...
