    2009 fender vents

At the Redezvous in Bowling Green when Cadillac introduced the 2009 model, they had a few early production models that did not have the vent installed. At that time, there was still discussion as to the vents, whether they would be vents, no vents, an option, etc. They had a few 2009 model...

    Luxury crossovers

We purchased a 2011 SRX Turbo. We love it. We had always had Escalades in order to have something to put our dogs in. The SRX has most all the features that the Escalade had, but is much easier to park. They only offered the Turbo one year because they weren't selling as well as the regular...

We went to the dealer today to take advantage of the current offering of 0% financing on 2011 Escalades and SRXs. We ended up trading in our 2008 Escalade ESV Platinum for a Turbo SRX. We found out that the Turbo model didn't sell very well and they quit making them. It appears that buyers...

XLR history & information discussion thread

They had several Platinum models. Different years had different colors available. Platinum Editions had polished chrome grills and wheels instead of the brushed crhrome and had different color wood for the interior. In 2009 the base model was the Platinum Edition.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY -- RUTH ANN

Ruth Ann- Hope you had a great birthday. We hope to get back out to California at some point and to stop by Bob's Big Boy (and maybe see Jay Leno again). Have a safe trip to Bobfest. Tell Ray to be careful out there, it has been a very dangerous year for law enforcement this year. Jim and Jean

On the way back from Las Vegas yesterday we stopped and had lunch with Jetboy and got to see his new CTS wagon. It is nice to get back to 90 degree weather instead of the 112-117 we saw in Las Vegas and Phoenix.

My XLR and my buddy's custom 60 at a show

I recognize this as Bob's Big Boy in Burbank. When in California we always go by for the Friday evening cruise night. I bet the Cadillac next to yours belongs to Doc Sab.

We met up at Deer Valley Airport. They have a nice restaurant there. We were sad, they had closed all the Marie Callenders there last month. Jetboy was enroute to look at a new Cadillac and we went to pick up a new kitten.

Thanks for posting the photos. For those of us who had to work and were unable to make the trip, it is nice to see faces of those we have met at past Rendezvous and the ones we have not met yet and only know through following the Forum. We get to enjoy some of the fun by viewing the photos...

    On Star Questions

Just so there is no misunderstanding, we kept Onstar active in our cars, we just don't buy minutes for the Onstar telephone. I would never give up Onstar emergency service. When Verizon offered the package for cheaper minutes for the telephone, we opted for that. We will still have Onstar...

    On Star Questions

You are correct Robert. The contract ended. Effective 1/1/12 Verizon will no longer provide service to the phones we converted in our Cadillacs. At that point, I will just use my Verizon phone that shared the minutes with the Car. Onstar wants way to much to purchase their minutes. We are...
