    butterfly valve

Butterfly Fahad, I probably was the first one in 06 to find the exhaust control unit in the trunk and I cut the red wire, added wire to both ends and tunneled them into the center console with a rocker switch, (be careful where you mount it or the lid won't close.) Then came "mild to wild" and...

Site Update: T/C going off for no reason (found one reason)

I've lived with this T/C light going off and have heard many reasons why folks here are still trying to analyze why it goes off . Back in 06 I found the exhaust module in the trunk and cut the red wire and put a switch in my console to make it go from mild to wild whenever I wanted too. Then a...

    Help! Mass air Flow Sensor?

air flow sensor John,Yes, you probably got oil on the air flow sensor, but you cannot wipe it off. unscrew it from the intake and you must use carburetor cleaner to lightly spray both sides of it and then let it air dry, this should remove the oil. Don't wipe it or touch it. If you have too...

    stability question

stabilitrac Are you a two footed driver? My car has thrown so many T/C codes in 6 years that I stopped counting. If going around a corner and you brake with foot pressure on the accelerator the light will come on. Just stop and restart to get light off. I have had two accidents while that...

Good information I've since contacted Cubby and he connected me with Gizmo who after me not knowing what I was doing on Pay Pal cause I don't use it often managed to buy the stock unit from Gizmo for $250 plus shipping and handling, I think total was around $343. The unit new is around $925...

If you have a XLR-V, who built your engine?

Thanks for the smog tip Volant says they asked for registration for the 06-V 3 and a half years ago. Now I have a suspicion that they only registered 07 though 09 and forgot about the 06 and they installed my system in 06 at their facility. They are supposed to be calling Sacramento today to...

    Volant CAI for XLR-V

Smog Boo Hoo Thanks Jack, I have Cubby digging into his junk pile and thinks he might have the unit. Just think, I had it for 6 years and threw it out 6 months ago because I was moving. Timing is everything.:dunno: I was told by our tech that only 07 through 09 was registered with CA. Why not...

Foose Speedsters Any chance you have any 20" x 8.5 chrome Foose Speedsters hanging around the barn for an 06 xlr-v? I talked to Chip and he said he might be starting up a new batch because of the calls for them. I had to have one aluminum welded to fill a gouge and then re-chromed and it came...

    WTB: 20" X 8.5 Foose Speedster rim

Aren't parking lots fun? Vehicle backed into my rear quarter panel & deeply gouged two 6 to 8 inch "channels" into my rim with his exhaust pipe. Must be in very nice shape so other wheels don't get mad at new stepbrother.:worship: Tire can be aluminum welded and re-chromed but would rather have...

    IPhone dock

Iphone That's pretty good and I like the button for the Windrestrictor, which I assume lets you turn it off if you want too. I can see that was a lot of work. Not to be negative, but the Iphone blocks the controls for the passengers seat and temperature controls. For those that don't want to do...

    ride hight adjustment

I would suggest that you take your vehicle to a qualified front end alignment store and have them do it. I had mine lowered and didn't like the ride, so had them put it back to the original settings. Put over sized tired on for a long trip and hitting bumps and bad concrete tore the inner...

How well does the wind restrictor work?

Upon review of these windscreens, I notice they didn't include the Wind Restrictor in there testing from this forum and most all where thin and used velcrow straps which can't hold a candle to the one on this forum. My .02
