There was several recalls across the gm line i believe. Some did not apply to the xlr and a couple only applied to certain cars. There was a recall on some of the fuel systems but its long closed to get anything done. Dont know that one but special coverage usually means if you paid to have...
Then stay away from 04-05 lens unless you see one really cheap. They all interchange but 06 started a better material. They just did not bond them well and 100s blew off. Thats why we have no spares. They all got used up on warranty when they were newer
It would be a good candidate for a lens if anyone made them. You did not list the year of your car. Id watch for a parts light on ebay like i said that has all the electronics corroded and find someone to swap the lens.
Theres a guy making them on another forum or somewhere i read. But until i see them ill hold from endorsement. In the last 4-5 years id say theres been at least a dozen people claiming to make them. no one does. It a difficult bonding process to secure the outer lens. Its also a very limited...
Wow. It does look good but that i think that carbon weave would make me dizzy. Haha. Seems they should have seamed it on the backside. But i do like the cut down wheel
Well you can buy a tech two scanner for about 300$ and it will aid you in finding out what is wrong. You may not need it depending on what the car is doing. There are several simple switchs that can keep the top from opening
Yeah run from that one. This is one of the cases where people buy a car stuff some foam behind tge damage and try and make it look better than it is. Id say if you did your own work the parts to fix this one would run 6-8000. Youd have in it close to what you can buy a better one with a clear...
Thanks. I see people on the road and ggo to talk to them and ask if they are on the forums. Most say no they have never had a need. I think the cars do best if used weekly at least
Thats about the worse kmart hood scoop ive ever seen. First the car does not need a scope on the hood. If anything it needs a duct to pull air out from under the hood . sort of like the camaro. The air thru the radiator could benifit with easy exit.
I did not make my point clear. Im not talking about buying a salvage car to repair. Im talking aboit a car that show salvage history. had it been a honda civic it would have been a minor repair. So just because it says salvage does not mean it had the poo knocked out of it.so the cost of parts...
Id not be so quick about writing off a salvage car. Id just make sure it was not a flood car . you may be surprised at how many flood cars go thru coastal north carolina and get sold with good titles that may not show up on car fax. Ithey also wash a lot of really bad repaired cars .
Many xlr...
I agree. It depends on what you want to do with it. The 06-09 are just better cars the 04-05 supsnsion and abs parts are thousands of dollars. The later cars are cheaper to maintain. However if you plan on putting miles on it once it hits 100k the value drops. For 12-14 you should be able to...
The 07-09 are the best cars in my opinion. 09 with the face lift and few made seem to bring highest prices. 06 are ok but have a few issues. 04-05 are ok but need to be bought really cheap yet the ones i see with low or medium miles people think they are worth a ton. The 08 does look silver...
I would not recommend the b8. Glad they worked for you . bilstein says they are designed for lowered cars so unless you lower the suspension it puts the valving for the shocks in the wrong pLace for every day driving. they are really not that much firmer just valved to be firm in the center ride...
