I think the last time I had it dyno'ed was about 3 years ago and it put down 399 - which was totally wrong... since then I found a clogged cat, a vacuum leak, a mis-programmed blower bypass, etc... so I need to get it done again but haven't had the time... I tried to go this past Saturday but...
I didn't end up getting a dyno run done for just the headers... many mods and many runs later I can't tell which mod provided what amount of power change.... at the time I was also struggling with some engine problems that was giving us false readings (vacuum, leaks, etc)
I have found that...
Mechanically it should bolt right up... but you'd have to plum a vacuum line to the rear (and a way to turn it off/on) to get the butterflies to function - not impossible, but just something that needs to be thought about.
FWIW - If you haven't already, you may want to get a four-wheel alignment done now that you've fixed the problem. In my experience, even a little adjustment to one of height bolts changed the geometry noticeably on the other 3 corners of the car. Mostly on the camber. YMMV
I had two of my bolts snapped off - both on the drivers side... I suspect that many people may have snapped bolts and just don't realize it - I didn't know until I was doing some suspension work and did an inspection
Yellow Calipers
I would be interested in selling my previous z06 brake set up - I have everything including a spare set of pads I think... I'll have to go dig them up.
I really need to update this thread... I had the new calipers re-powder coated
I don't have any photos of the new brakes - I was in a rush getting ready for the Houston 1/2 mile run so I was focused on getting them on the car. I'll try to shoot some the next time I have the car off the ground and the wheels off.
They are a rotora 6-piston front and 4-piston rear... 14"...
I don't remember - it was a few years ago... I had D3 spec it so they were doing the math... all I remember is that I had them make sure they'd clear a future big brake kit... since then I've installed the Z06 brakes, and then upgraded them to a custom powder coated rotora kit with 2-piece...
The fronts are 20" x 9" and the rears are 20" by 9.5"
On the front I have 255/35/20 pilot sport 2's...
As far as tire height - I've reprogrammed my ECM to adjust for the tire size difference so the speedo is spot on.
I have 285/30/20 in the rear of my car... additionally I lowered the ride height about an inch. I've been riding this way since 2009 I haven't had any problems... my first set of tires were Michelin pilot sport 2's... and I just put on a new set of Michelin pilot super sports last month.
If you...
Yes I have done it - I really don't think its a big deal... frankly, I think that removing bead sealant is more of a pain, but even that takes no time at all with an eraser wheel.... Look - the bottom line is that tire work is just dirty work - it is what it is, dirty and messy work... not my...
The last 4 I bought on ebay for $25/each (no tax, free shipping) - they were used, but for that price I didn't care... there are few on there that about $30 but they are always availalbe for about $25 shipped if you wait for them.
You can also get them brand new on Amazon.com for $43/each with...
