    Tire repair kits

The last pressure sensor replacement I got was about $25.... is that a big deal? (honest question) To me that doesn't sound like a whole lot of money to be concerned about in regards to avoiding using slime - especially if the alternative is being stranded or trying to repair a tire on the side...

    Suspension Data for Possible Upgrade

In my set up - I noticed the most change with adjusting the rear sways... the stiffer fronts kept my nose level during turns, but the rears really tamed the rear... I also keep hearing great things about coil overs... I also hear that they ride great in daily driving when adjusted for a softer...

    Suspension Data for Possible Upgrade

First off - all those sway bars should not be compared directly like that... some of them - like the hotchkis (which I have) are adjustable... I believe the pfadt are also adjustable... so using the diameter as a reference may not work for comparison for stiffness. As for the springs - why not...

2012 Texas Mile - Beeville, Tx 26-28 Oct.

Houston 1/2 mile I just got back from running my XLR-V at the Houston half-mile today at Elliington airport... I made 8 runs and all were between 139.3mph and 140.0mph! :blinzel: I was stunned how consistent I was... I would have had faster times but I simply couldn't keep the tires from...

What was the most stuff you have ever packed into your XLR trunk.

During the gumball 3000 I had a 26" roller bag... a 22" roller bag... a duffel bag... a helmet... a fire extinguisher .. a tool kit... and jumper cables... there was not a cubic inch left in the trunk - I wish I took a photo... I was stunned how much I could cram in there.

How to relocate the Gas Pedal closer to the firewall giving yourself more leg room

FWIW the corvette C6 brake booster is a direct replacement for the one in the XLR and the only difference is the length of the rod - the C6 version is shorter so the pedal will be closer to the firewall. If that's not close enough, you could easily just cut the and shorten the rod to get the...

2012 Texas Mile - Beeville, Tx 26-28 Oct.

Oh gotcha... I did the Houston half-mile this past spring and ended up doing 134.1mph... Results | The Houston Mile I wondered where I would have ended up on a full mile so I guess it would be in the 150's... maybe next time I can make the time to head down to do the full mile

The bottom speed is clearly the speed at the end of the mile - what is the first 131.3mph speed?

2012 Texas Mile - Beeville, Tx 26-28 Oct.

I can really appreciate the ingenuity to do this - it actually looks pretty good for a DIY job... I'm curious - why didn't you just go with the Brey Krause R-2115 fire extinquisher mount for the C6 corvette? Its a direct bolt-on part. Here's a photo of it in my XLR-V:

question about the cup holder case

I have the same problem as well, but it can be fixed. There is a bundle of wiring that runs right under where the door rests when its open... if the bundle of wire has been jarred out of place it will interfere with the operation of the door. The fix is simple - just remove the shift knob...

    Gumball 3000

That other thread pretty much covers it... :) I didn't find that it didn't have enough luggage space... really each leg between stops is only about 4 hours so you don't need much in the cabin but a a couple bottles of water and maybe a small snack... and I would suggest you pack the smallest...

News: Taxicab and Cadillac XLR crash

Woah! You guys won't believe it, but thats right buy my house! (maybe about a mile away) That intersection has some of the most expensive houses in Houston. Denman is a residential street. And Kirby is a 4-lane street with a grass median - speed limit there is 35mph. I wonder what happened...

    Outside mirrors

It may be worth noting that the XM radio has antennas inside both mirrors (diversity reception) In the earlier years, the antennas was on the trunk lid and was visible. I don't know if that will effect your project, but something to consider.

    AFTERMARKET SHOCKS FITMENT

I'm in Houston too... I bet those simulator plugs will work fine - I haven't tried them, but if they're similar to the ones used in the escalade I bet they will work. you might want to check with the seller to see if they're willing to take them back if they don't work. It may be worth the...
