From a quick skim this thread looks like it will give you info on sensor locations: Trunk Inoperative Using Trunk Button It also goes through symptoms associated with different sensor failures, see the posts by ccclarke.
As to whether they’re still available, I have no clue. Check...
We just did the Tech II. Not touching manual adjustments unless all else fails, because as you said it’s messy and you can REALLY foul things up doing that. Even our XLR tech stays away from manual adjustments if at all possible.
Look for info on here on checking sensor counts with the Tech II. Ours was doing the same thing as rnrt99; we kept doing relearns which would fix it. Then the need to do relearns started occurring more frequently until we finally figured out the tonneau sensor needed replacing. The sensor...
Put Bridgestone DriveGuard runflats on mine. With the magnetic ride control shocks, I haven’t noticed any difference in ride.
On the other hand, taking the runflats off my ATS - which has much lower profile tires, no MRC, & a super stiff ride - made a huge difference for the better. With...
I could read it on my iPad once I hit the three lines in the site address that gives you the reader screen.
I liked Cadillac best two re-inventions ago ....
Unless it folds itself back down in the trunk on its own - then you can only go one way with the cycle. :ugh:
I did the part way up on the V first to put stuff on the seals, had no problems. Not so with the base - it started going back down, I tried to stop it when it started but obviously...
I’d go for replacing them. The battery lasts on average 7 years, so yours are are likely living on borrowed time. I’m pretty sure the tire shop can program it, we’ve got the “tools” to do it ourselves so I’m not positive about the shops.
I got mine from Autosportcatalog.com, & my talented husband put it on for me. It is a DIY item. Key trick: put it on on a sunny day & let it lay out in the sun for a while (in the packaging) before putting it on. Makes it easier to work with. Also follow their instructions on keeping your...
XPEL is great stuff. Had it on a prior daily driver, have it on my base XLR, waiting to put it on my ATS. Basically I’ve put that on everything that either didn’t get clear bra or headlight protection didn’t come with the clear bra I purchased.
Welcome to the double crazy, double XLR owning club! What color is your V?
We have the same combo of ‘06 Base & ‘07 V. If you’re like me, you’ll find that the V is just silky smooth in putting down the power. The 6 speed makes a big difference over the 5 speed (along with a little bit more...
My not-a-mechanic, not-an-expert opinion on operating the top is running it up & down is good for it, keeps the hydraulics flowing, everything lubed up, etc. I generally think it’s bad for mechanical things to sit unused.
I’m going to go with Mecum may not be the right audience for these or there must have been something wrong (like high miles?) with it. They have a passion red one they are estimating to go for $25-30k ...
