you can change cabin air filter and intake filters yourself.
check them first, but they are 3 easy filters to change, and not overly expensive.
i think the filters i got are an exact color match to your car!!

the gaskets and weatherstrips on the XLR can be quite expensive.

i am wondering if it...
hey tinker,

several people have had issues after installing a new battery, car doesnt want to "wake up"
myself included.
once you get it to start normally everything is fine again.

what was the condition of the now broken headlight?
was the DRL area melted/burned , which is very common on the older headlights?
if so then you could replace with another older unit with the melted...
i would stop trying to charge the dead battery. all those voltage spikes from diff chargers could fry something.
just leave it alone. roll the drivers side window down if you can so you can get into it if you are locked out(inside a garage i assume??)
let the car sit with the dead battery for a...
could find a badly wrecked/ salvage V as a donor ?
if it was rear ended/ side swiped/ flipped you would have everything you need...
it might be $$ but cheaper than buying everything individually.
plus you get the donor vehicle to analyze and figure out how everything is setup.
i bet theres a few...

ok , so you are describing a scraping when going over bumps. do you mean like slow spped speed bumps?
or any general pothole.
is it coming from a wheel well type of area? or more the front of the car like under the bumper/engine?
so you know, these cars ride very low to begin with.
AND there is...
you can go to any area corvette specialist for trans maintenance.
the trans etc are all very similar.
my guess is old rubber hoses are cracking. however if they arent leaking why bother?
probably local shop could take a look and do the same job for $200 instead of $1000.
maybe a good idea to get...
looks like this car has the V hood, my guess would be front end damage at some point.
currently missing center section of front valance, need to closely inspect the aluminum support bracket, if valance is torn off bracket could also have been damaged. the bracket is also the radiator support...
this is a thread that discusses erasing all fobs from the memory and relearning them all over again.
probably what you are trying to do.
on a side note, that old fob #2 you have might just be broken, may not be able to recognize it.
might want to relearn that fresh #3 as the first fob
and then...
if you are replacing an existing antenna, then the holes are already there, might as well replace with the same type of antenna.
if you are looking at a new install, i would seriously consider NOT drilling holes , and install a wartless antenna.
those warts ruin the lines of the car.
