Ian, yes, I posted a new thread regarding the center/third brake light being available at Rock Auto for a lower total price than the EBay price. I ordered one since I have a few lights out there and having my old one for an extra for the future can't hurt.

Not sure if anybody needs this, but Rock Auto lists the AC Delco part for replacement of the center/"high mount" brake light, at least for my 2004. I do not know the part interchangeability. They list: AC Delco 19330404 for $141.79 (minus 5% with a discount code, plus shipping, which was $10 to...
Man, I like options. Thanks for the ideas, Ian. I am a member of forums for my other vehicles, and some people do great things but only tell people the results, not how they did it. I appreciate you sharing and taking the time to document all your work.

I installed my new front shocks yesterday.
My new shocks had wrench flats on the top of the shaft and a 7mm open-end wrench grabbed it perfectly. Top nut is 17mm, bottom two bolts and their nuts are 13mm. Squeeze the clip holding the actuator connector on top of the shock to remove it and push...
Amazon shows several size 9005 bulbs that should work for the fog lights housing. They all seem to be in the 5000K to 6500K color range. Not sure about proper fit, but at least the plug part is compatible. Your mileage may vary, as they say.

That's it, no valets for me! As if I would ever valet park anything, anyway, haha. I'm a simple son of a caveman, so I like the solution, inelegant as it may seem. Thank you, Rexster.

I'd second the notion of seeking out a complete rear end for economy's sake. Gears alone are only a part of the price. Sometimes you end up replacing bearings and should usually replace seals. Professional set-up is a must, as the pinion depth, backlash, mesh pattern, etc have to be right or it...
For lack of a better term coming to mind, my interior rear view mirror "sags," meaning it won't hold the position I adjust it to. Is there any adjustment/tightening that can be done? I'd rather not see the space between my seats and be able to see the things in back of the car instead.
Thanks...
We shall see, as the saying goes. My front shocks arrived and I unboxed one of them. It is labeled as being manufactured by BMI, whose website shows them as being an OEM supplier of dampers of many types, including magnetorheological units. Obviously I'll have a chance to compare them to the...
I'd always believed that going stiffer on rear sway bars leads further into oversteer, as opposed to understeer, as many posts on here have stated. By no means am I suggesting that any of these bars are going that far, but that's the theory: oversteer, where the rear loses grip before the front...
I was fairly confident that the AC Delco shocks purchased through Rock Auto were the exact same shocks that the dealer would sell you.
Been wrong, many, many times, however.

Thanks for the forum, everybody. I found and bought an 04, black/black (I know that's not the correct terminology for the colors, but you get the point) only 9 miles from my house. Currently sitting at just over 84K on the clock and in pretty good shape.
I'm kind of a "hands-on" person with...
$1436.58, delivered, stock GM authentic shocks with lifetime guarantee through RockAuto. Always seek out/use an available 5% discount when ordering through them (PM me if you need one; I buy so much stuff from them I always have one available).
I've been a fan-boy of the Mag-Ride system since...
Dave, I have sent you a text regarding the car.
And 13 hours later, I found an '04 9 miles from my house. I wish you well and good luck with sale. Sounds like someone will get a good one when you sell yours.
