Code 171 and 174 sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Does it have an erratic or high idle? I would start looking for a loose hose. Spraying carb cleaner at suspected parts can detect a leak.

I can't answer that but I am curious why you would want to look down on the drivers side? there is no curb there? I never even realized that side moved down also.

Kennadian, when you open your trunk look all the way to the left on the floor, in the corner closest to the bumper. There is a little maybe (5x5) door that you lift out of the floor of the trunk. The components are under it and there is a hole at the bottom for water to drain etc to drain out...

I hear that all the time also. I am sure they are not even knowing what an xlr is when they ask. The cts-v is the car with the same engine as a vette and the people don't even realize they are talking about two different cars.
