    Carmel Automobilia 2015

Well my best laid plans may not work out after all. A couple of things fell into place that was going to make it possible for me to attend. Yesterday it kind of fell apart. My latest foster dog looked to have found his forever home, now maybe not. Last week the cast on my ankle/foot was...

Looks like I'm in. As usual I'll be driving up the morning of the event. Save me a spot.

I have to my XLR-V, but it may be more involved than what you want. So just for some ideas....

    AppRadio 4

I'm interested too. Are you needing to plug the phone in? I appreciate A2DP and automatic muting for voice directions and calls, all wireless. I do also like having CDs for a fall back, but not that much. Is it using the OEM amp? If not how did it interface with the 1ohm Bose speakers, or...

Does the HUD still work? What is displayed where the OEM head unit info was displayed? Does XM still have all it's functions?

Ahem, I doubt they will all be the same.

Our Friends at D3 have resurrected XLR mod options

FWIW there are much cheaper ways to increase your blower boost. About $400 for a new snout and pulley with a 14% overdrive.

Proud XLR owner with a problem

No power is no power. It doesn't matter if the battery is dead or if it is disconnected except that you will have a battery available to connect and get going if you disconnect it first. Sent from my SM-N900A using Tapatalk

That looks like an interesting option. I think it would probably fit the bill.

Proud XLR owner with a problem

If you plan on leaving the car sit for more than a couple weeks I suggest planning for issues, it's almost certain. If I were in your position I would look at a battery disconnect switch and a external hood release. Continued and repeated total discharge of batteries will make them toast in...

No, just car sitting for a friend. These two have similar performance, but show different approaches on how to get there. It's an 911 (996) Turbo X50. I can dream when I see them both in my driveway.

    MP3 / iPod

I'm not convinced there is any difference between the years with regard to the XM interface. I also believe Ray is capable of designing these cables. So it sounds like things are working now?

    MP3 / iPod

Where did you find the connector on the XM end? That was what made me look at buying the AUX from Ray. What you are saying makes lots of sense to me as I ran into ground loop issues when using an amp. I was happy that an inexpensive filter fixed it.

    MP3 / iPod

Not sure what "curtain" you are referring to, not important. It does sound like there may be a problem with the AUX-2 interface. Especially in the 3.5mm socket area since it is acting somewhat like what happens when a plug is not fully inserted. I'm sure Ray will get it resolved. Once you do...

    MP3 / iPod

Sorry to hear your having problems. I wouldn't think the 2009 XM interface is any different to the other years. Are you saying the BTC will not pair with any of your phones AND the AUX is not working? Are you using the amp too? Otherwise is there a need for the line filter? What...

    Do you see XLRs??

Was not the wart gone on all '06 and later? Of course there were no earlier Vs so a V would never have a wart from the factory. I've known of at least one true V where the badging on the trunk was reversed. Not from the factory that way. FWIW, my V has both on the same side. You can not...

Reminds me of the looks on a lot of faces when a string of XLRs rolled into Funfest where there were thousands of Corvettes.
