In FEB2013 I purchased an AGPtek® Super Mini ELM327 V1.5 Bluetooth OBD2 OBD-II CAN-BUS Auto Diagnostic Scanner Tool from a vendor called Brainy Deal on Amazon for about $15. It doesn't appear any longer. There may be something similar available. At the time...
I've never seen this displayed. I don't believe everything I read in the manuals. If you do not want to do a Tech2 I am reasonably sure other diagnostic tools that plug into the OBDII port will give the tranny temperature. I use "Torque" Android app and a OBDII to Bluetooth bridge for a lot...
So does that mean the brakes need to be bigger than the motor since you only have half the distance?
Or... Is it because you have 4 wheels braking and only 2 wheels driving?
That's the stuff.
I used about 1.5 cans. It's not so much the capacity but how much is used for bleeding. I screwed up once and let the master cylinder go dry. It was early in the process but still..... I was by myself using a vacuum pump.
FWIW I used my Tech 2 bleed routine that cycles...
I just painted the calipers. Not as durable as powder coated, but so far so good. I'll powder coat in time.
The lines are Goodridge.
Everything can be found here KNS Brakes
I also used ATE SL.6 fluid.
IMHO Replace the rotors. When shopping remember our brakes are the same as a C6 Corvette with a Z51 package. You will find lots to offer for those. Beware of changing to a "big brake kit" for the 'vette as there is a problem with fitting behind stock wheels. Check it if you have aftermarket...
My point is that it actually less taxing on your attention. It's nice to have any turn by turn navigation instructions automatically mute (and resume) the music. It also prevents missed calls due to music louder than the phones internal ringer. Handsfree phone conversations is a big reason...
Nice write up.
FWIW, I installed a little differently and put everything inside the console tapping into the outlet power. I installed the BT unit near the start PB and hid all the cables. Sometimes tucking them up and under the edge of the console. I also added a line amp to bring the...
Yes they both move. They move more to the outside then they do to the inside.
I can send you a .pdf with the details of the headlight alignment from the service manual if you PM me your email address. Basically set up a wall or screen 25 ft away. put spots on the wall directly in front of...
That is incorrect. The Lockpick installed in between the XM module and the head unit. They snagged the data stream from the XM and replaced it with their own. There were no AV connections made. There were no real battery issues.
I had a bluetooth interface that replaced the onstar module...
FWIW, the Coastal Tech Lockpick (no longer available) generated text that appeared in the top banner area instead of the normal XM info. It was pretty clunky, but was something.
Do the same thing you did when it was explained before and you did it then. Here is a link to that thread
