    XLR_V engine into non XLR

Someone posted about this before, and someone else pointed out all the parts in the engine bay that are different between the V and the NA engine, and it's a lot. Plus there's the hood.

    Roof dents

If it wasn't like that when you took it in, sounds to me like the body guy thought he could fix it by manual manipulation (the fancy term for grab it and jerk it hard till it lines up). Not really a good way to try and fix this. I'd be POed..

    New export headlights, value?

Single lens HID lights have a metal "cut off" shutter that comes down for low and up for high beam. This is most of the difference between many euro and US spec lights. DOT vs ECE beam pattern | Retrofitlab Blog It doesn't look like you can get to this shutter unless you split the light apart.

I wonder if a LOCA UV cured glue would work on attaching the outer lens to the gray surround? There are a couple types, one that's used to glue down phone screens that remains pliable and one that hardens.

04 Cadillac XLR - Issues starting after HOURS of diagnostics! HELP!

Sounds like a serious grounding problem to me. I would start at the battery, follow the ground cable back and clean every major connection in the ground tree. I don't know where it is, but there's a thread on a ground near one of the rear wheels that has caused people grief too. I had a car...

We have solved the XLR Headlight Issue

You could probably use an optically clear UV cured glue to reseal the lens to the gray surround. If you don't have to sand and buff the lens though, it will still have a good UV coating, and you might have to play around with shooting the UV light through bulb holes and such.

Tiny dents in the aluminum console bezel

Cool, so get a dentless repair guy to do it with hotglue. Sounds inexpensive, but how long will it really last? I guess you just need to be extra careful afterwards.

Did you try taking them out and cleaning them? I've read that's a fix for some intermittent ones.

    Help! Rcdlr program

Did you just buy the newer RCDL and install it yourself? I always heard it needed to be paired to the car by a device more capable than the Tech II.
