Side question on the D7, have you been able to do a top relearn with it?

The LEDs in the switches burn out. I’ve changed mine couple of times. You have to replace the entire switch modules. They use to sell for about 19$ new but can be very difficult to fine anymore. Enjoy it.

I’ve fixed mine a couple of times. I would say first thing to check is if you have 12 volts on gray wire on the small connector on the module with the car running. It has 1or 2 wires in it. If you have 5volts then the module is good. If not then check fuse, or is there a mild to wild module...

I know mine read 75 constantly when the sensor was disconnected. So bad sensor or maybe wiring open/short?

One of the best things I did back in 2013 when I got my XLR was to put film on the headlights. To get around the import fees, you have to declare them to customs before you ship them out of the country. No import fees on returns just imports.

Ya, I never understood putting the hub mounting bolt behind the lower ball joint nut. If the engineer twisted the hub 10 degrees, you wouldn’t have to separate the upper or lower ball joint to change the bearing and would take 20 min.

Any error message or codes set? Assuming your temp gauge is reading low, it’s probably a thermostat stuck open. You will usually get a message “engine hot AC turned off” and temp gauge will drop to zero (or actually 100 as that’s the lowest reading).

Passenger side front is cylinder 1. 2 is drivers side front.

I took the vacuum actuator off this and replaced the factory original with it. Didn’t use the valve part of it.

I got one of these off eBay. The vacuum actuator is a bolt in replacement.

Assuming you are asking about aftermarket radio install in original faceplate, I used a Metra 95-6511 install kit and did some modifications to the side pieces. Looks good from the front.

If you have springs around you shocks, than you some aftermarket setup on there and none of the above advise applies to your situation. XLR come stock with a fiberglass spring that runs across the front (and one across the rear) to the lower control arms. Someone may have replaced this with...

Interesting, didn’t know that. But than again, I replaced my head unit about 10 years ago.

not that I noticed, but it does change when top is put down. So maybe a switch in the top mechanism someplace.
