    headlight sensor

I don't know what picture you're looking at but that sounds about right. You will need to remove the A pillar covers first and then the center console cover plate and the center stack face plate to get at the screws behind that, there are also clips holding the dash pad down. Again, I have an 07...

    headlight sensor

I have a 07 V so i'm not sure it's the same but mine is attached to the dash pad, When you lift the dash pad up you reach under and rotate that sensor and it drops out. Don't let it drop down into the dash, it's not easy to get it back out.

Help! Replacing the Dash Cap Advice/Instructions

No screws, but you need to move the shifter to neutral and use the trim tools to lift the top plate on the console just far enough to remove the center stack face plate.

Help! Replacing the Dash Cap Advice/Instructions

It has been a while since I removed mine but here's what I remember. If you don't have trim removal tools buy some, they are cheap at Harbor freight. You need to carefully remove the A pillar covers, the driver side has the microphone so you will need to remove that. There is a screw at each...

VVT solenoid actuator oil leak UPDATE

If you're talking about "performance mode", you are right, the TPMS has to show normal tire pressure before it will allow it to go into PM.

VVT solenoid actuator oil leak UPDATE

I don't believe anything is wrong with your traction control. This engine will overpower the traction control, when the tires are cold more so then after they warm up.

How to open trunk without key and dead BCM?

Assuming you have a good battery and you have tried all the buttons including the one under the lip of the trunk lid and nothing worked, here is a hail marry. If your top is up and you can get into the car, remove the storage compartment between the two seat backs, I think there are four screws...

Hello- A New Owner in Ohio

There is switch in the slot where that plastic dowel fits into, I can't remember if it's on the left or right side. It sounds like that switch is not making the connection, if you put your finger into the slot you should be able to actuate the switch, you should hear it click. Once you find the...

Car starts without brake pedal being pressed...why?

What does the Tech2 tell you? Just a guess but maybe the vibration caused by closing of the door is doing something to a loose connection, maybe in the fuse box, check and clean all of those connections. Good luck

VVT solenoid actuator oil leak UPDATE

If I were you I would change the the whole thing, they are not that expensive, I listed the part number earlier in this post. If your car is running ok I would leave the cam alone, "if it ain't broke"... No relearn needed.

Help! Top help needed---what part(s) do I need to correct?

Re-index the windows and if that does not solve the problem do a re-learn with the tech2, you stated that you had your tech2 hooked up but didn't say what you did with it. Good luck, let us know what you find out.

    2006 XLR-V

One clarification for the garage door opener, the button I had to press was on the motor drive unit that was mounted on the garage ceiling.

Is there a cover for this hole

It seems like there should be but mine is open also.

    2006 XLR-V

If I understand you correctly the lights on the center console don't work, it could be the wire connector under the console. When my CD player locked up I had to replace the entire CD changer. As for the Home Link, I got mine to work just following the directions in the owners manual, I know I...

Help! 2006 XLR with blown Head Gasket - Dealership will not repair

P0308 is a misfire on cylinder 8, that could be any number of things from a bad spark plug to a bad head gasket. Did they clear the code and did it come back, what other problems are you having to make them think it's a head gasket? Are you still loosing coolant, is the car overheating, does...

VVT solenoid actuator oil leak UPDATE

No worries about the rotation but I would make sure to have a clean surface before reassemble.

Trunk & Gas Tank Issues Need Help

I would not recommend doing that without doing some research first. It may be ok but I thought I read somewhere on this forum that you could do more harm then good. I think it recommended putting a resistor between the two battery cables to slowly drain the power from the capacitors in the...
