    Tilt wheel not working.

Yes Rubyrod, the D7 made by Xtool is a Bidirectional diagnostic scanner

    Tilt wheel not working.

Good job figuring that out, once the Xtool locked up my steering column I was afraid to try it on anything else.

    Jimmie - New Owner

Welcome to the club. I have never noticed a problem with the dash lights, have you read the owners manual on how to adjust them. I would change the trunk struts, it sounds like they are getting weak.

    New Owner here!

That would be my guess also, especially if you have evidence of water (past or present) in the area where the Top module is located. I would clean all those connections and also check connections in the fuse block area, including the fuse block into the base. That just cost your time, replacing...

    New Owner here!

So, using my tech2, when I go to "Body" - "Folding top module" I get 5 options, 1-DTC, 2-Data Display, 3-Special Functions, 4-Snapshot, 5-Module ID. If I understand you correctly when you go to Body and click on Folding top module it does nothing. I don't have much experience with this system...

    New Owner here!

Welcome. Are you sure it's the module, has anyone tried to do a re-learn with a Tech2. If not, I would do that before I spent too much money on a new module.

    Trunk Won't Stay Open

There is a gas strut on both sides, it sounds like it's time to replace them. I purchased mine from Rock auto, I don't remember what I paid but it wasn't too much. I believe it's a two man job so let me know when you get them, I can help.

    Serial and registry update?

Go to registry, pull up your car by year and vin number, click on "profile", then in the header bar there is a place to "update this XLR". Click on that, I believe that's how you do it, but it may have to be approved by the site administrator once your done. I think that's right but I'm going...

I purchased a Tech 2 and did a column calibration and that solved the problem. It's been working fine ever since. I'm not sure you have the same problem, mine stopped working altogether when I used the xtool. It's not a good choice for our cars. The Tech 2 is worth a try, I'm no expert with it...

    Change tire size

I have a 2007 V, I left the front stock at 235/45-19 and increased the rear to 265/40-19. The stock rear was 255/40-19 so the change was small but it filled up the wheel well a little bit better and didn't effect the speedometer enough to worry about.

2006 XLR-V Pop in left front when changing elevation

I agree with Mickeytee. If they changed the spring they either installed new ride height adjuster bolts or moved the old ones over to the new spring. Those adjuster bolts are the main reason you would change the spring because they either brake or wear down and get frozen into the spring. Check...

    2007 XLR-V Exhaust Module

I fixed mine by changing the Solenoid. Good luck.

Hello and Merry Christmas, I like your style. I live in Florida and drive mine year round, but when it's too hot I leave the top up and turn up the AC.

    Lower bumper breakaway shield ???

Yes you can, that's what I do. At least until I find some at a reasonable price.

    tech 2

Google "GM Tech 2 scanner" and you will learn all about it. The original GM Tech 2 is too expensive so everyone buys the clones made in China. The cost is about $300.

    Necessary preventative scheduled maintenance.

The axle nut is on the end of the axle, you need to remove the rear wheels and the nut is there at the end of the axle. It is a 33mm nut and the torque spec is 151 but verify that, my memory may be off.

Looking for Driver's Side Front Air Dam or Spoiler for 2006 XLR-V

I don't think they are the same, they are not as wide (up and down) and are made to conform to the corvette's rounder front end, the center piece may be the same. I'm not 100% sure but if you haven't ordered them yet I would do a little more research.
