1st long road trip = impressed, except for

Wow! 1500 miles round trip. That itself is impressive. I must admit, the I have been on several trips from Davenport, Iowa to Chicago, Illinois which is about 490 miles (round trip), and have found the car comfortable. However, I don't know if I would feel the same if I had to go 750 miles...

XLR Stuck in Gear... Shift Cable Repair

I think that you are right. There must be something defective with the cables if you had to have it replaced at 20K and 80K miles. Also this should be covered under warranty. $660.00 is a lot to pay once let alone twice.

    Tech 2

That would explain it. I do not take the XLR out into the rain and when I have used the washers I have done so no more than two times consecutively. Thanks Cubby!

I know that this is off topic, but I have never been able to get those washers to work. I think they are just for show. :dunno:

XLR Stuck in Gear... Shift Cable Repair

How many miles are on your XLR? I am wondering if this is possibly an age issue or mileage issue or both.

    Do you see XLRs??

Here in Davenport, Iowa the weather seems like it turning cool again. Oh well, time to start thinking about starting the hibernation process again ( the car not me-although nah). Something more like this (although my garage is not that large)::twist: So that the XLR never winds up like...

    Satin nickel paint question

Everyone, everyone, all this color talk is not helping AK56 get his Xenon Blue XLR. AK56, Those other color XLR's are fine, and I hope that you are able to see the Xenon Blue XLR in Vegas. However just remember the following: 1) Xenon is used in lasers (of course they travel the speed of...

    Satin nickel paint question

It looks great! It also has aftermarket chrome wheels. It may just be me but it also looks like the front wheels are larger than the back wheels, something to verify. Also I think that he does not have the run flats. As stated, the car does look great and that black on black is killer...

Thinking of a 2nd XLR daily Driver

This is going to sound strange, but don't get another XLR. Let the novalty of having one wear off. Don't misunderstand this car is great! However, wait until you have had it for about three years and see if you still feel that you want another one. Strangely enough, if you have the one you...

Video: Motorweek Review of the 2006 Cadillac XLR-V

My 2004 does not have steerable headlights either. It does have chrome exhaust tips and a very cool person who drives it. ;) Also, the only thing wrong with the XLR-V in the video is that it is not in Zenon Blue. :D
