    I checked with our local Best Buy and found them pretty much worthless. My suggestion would be to use a good automotive sound store.

    I tried programming a FOB and was unsuccessful. I ended up having to let the dealer do it because I was warned that after a few tries the FOB will no longer work.

    Can you just tap a tail light wire? They stay on for a while, then shut off.

    I am. I think being 74 and getting an XLR over a Vett so my wife can get in and out qualifies as an old coot.
