    SERVICE CONTRACTS

I purchased the warranty in dec. of 2013. It didn't go into effect for a month after purchasing. I felt more comfortable going through the credit union than a dealership with their hand out. I also talked with my credit union on the performance of the warranty company. Which they said they...

    SERVICE CONTRACTS

I purchased mine through my credit union. I purchased a 84 month-100,000 mile platinum package. Which states it covers absolutely everything except wearable items ie. pads, clutches, tires, and body panels. 100 dollar deductible. Only stipulation was had to be purchased before the ten yr...

Needing to pick the collective brain about the braking system on our babies...

I did a thread under brake upgrade with pictures. I replaced mine with dba5000 two piece rotors in the front, stoptech drilled and slotted in the rear with ceramics all around. Braking is great, looks awesome, and all for under 400 bucks. They are very quick with shipping too.

Needing to pick the collective brain about the braking system on our babies...

I would start by looking at the condition of all four brakes and rotors. Hopefully no leaks or stuck calipers, etc. then I would probably bleed the old fluid out replacing with new. I believe you do need to hook up to a tech 2 for certain instances.

    Help! Failed Battery

Theirs plenty of threads on here about battery replacement. Most replace with a optima red or yellow top. If it was your original battery and on its way out a battery tender wouldn't help.

    Help! Failed Battery

I hope you don't plan on using your adaptive cruise control. If you weren't aware the sensor for it to function is behind that panel you put the battery pack.

    Important! FOB

I also did basically the same thing. I used a magnetic key box. Through a spare key in it adhered it and put a zip tie around it so a sharp bump doesn't knock it free. Luckily haven't had the need to use but a good lifesaver!:thumbsup

    Do you see XLRs??

At first glance I would be surprised, but then I think I would be disappointed. :squint:the thought to see one is kind of rare but the same color as yours:(takes the rarity out of it. But that's me:dunno:.I'm sure it wasn't a 09 though so that's good:thumbsup

    Hoping to be new member.

That's exactly what I had done. After long talks on the phone with the salesman. Pictures of basically every square inch of the car. That Thursday the wife and I flew out to Seattle Washington dec 17th not even thinking of the drive back:(. I asked the salesman to pick us up and they did. But it...

Proud XLR owner with a problem

This day and age it's much easier than that. First if you have the proper battery in the car and new you shouldn't have any problems leaving your car for a week or two and not having any problems starting. I've left my car for a month in the cold fall months with no tender and had no issues. My...

    Oil Catch Can

For under the car or on the Pcv system. If your getting a abundance of oil in the Pcv system u could have bad rings and getting a lot of blow by. Wouldn't see a reason on a modern car?:dunno:

It's all a sales gimmick! Been doing that here for years. If it's so hot you tell them your price see what they say.

Which is the best year XLR???

As for the ones in a snow state I wouldn't pass them up. People that respect their car and live in the colder climates DON'T drive their cars as much so theirs less mileage. I've seen ALOT of cars here in Illinois,Michigan,Wisconsin with under 5k and their early years. When they sit in the...
