The oil life indicator is a good measuring device as long as the correct oil was used in your vehicle. My understanding is that GM spent a considerable amount of money on this system to make it pretty accurate. I changed my coolant not because of mileage(only 13,000) but, because of age, 7 years.
Did my coolant swap this past weekend, piece of cake. Drained the old stuff, mixed 50/50 Dexcool and distilled water and filled it back up. ran it according to the shop manual and it sucked everything right in after the cool down. The next morning it took another 1/4 of a quart to top off...
I tried it, it works. But, if you press the trunk button a second time too soon it will close the trunk. So, getting the right height everytime will take a little practice.
He's right. You don't have to jack up the car or remove the wheel. I was just in that part of my car messing with the headlight washer cover, very easy to get to.
I just sold my C5 Z06 when I picked up this car a couple weeks ago. I just put the top down, crank the Bose and enjoy! It's not as fast as the Vette but it's fast enough for what it is :)
install them yourself and after about 100 miles, remove the MAF sensor and clean it. Spray the inside of it with a throttle body cleaner to clean the sensor wires and you'll be good to go. I do it all the time.
