That happened on the railroad once too. They had reworked the track and raised it a couple inches and the road foreman knew the height from previous trips, but didn't know it was raised. Got a high value load stuck under a bridge. He also found a different job!
I always figured if I tried that, that would be the time the top decided to stop working :dunno: and there I would be stuck in the middle of the road..!! Maybe you can drive it with the top half way, I have never heard. Maybe it wont go in gear, anyone know?

Yes I had the exact same thing happen. I didn't do anything in a parking lot or anything, it just went away and never returned. :dunno: I have different wheels and tires now, but that was several miles before I changed.
