SILVER BEAUTY IN DALLAS A silver beauty passed me as I headed east on I30 crossing lake Ray Hubbard in Dallas. We waved. And this last Saturday, I was at Frank Kent Caddy in Ft Worth, when a lady in an infra red 06 identical twin of mine pulled in for service.

Corvette shows I know the big yearly Corvette Homecoming in BG has room for XLRs, and I can't answer for all Corvette shows. I just know the ones I've asked about, I've been told NO.

Corvettes welcome? My initial reaction is No. There are lots of Corvette-only shows where XLRs are not welcome (I know, I've asked), and I can see Corvettes by the bushel at any car show. While I won't make an issue of it one way or the other, I say let's have something just for us.

Article about the Museum In the new issue (November) of Hemmings Classic Cars, there's a nice article about the Corvette Museum in BG, and it mentions some of the things available for visitors to do while there. It appears there is a way for us to drive our cars on the track.

Reaction in Belgium Just curious: What is the onlooker reaction to an XLR in Belgium/Finland? Does ANYONE know what it is? Your car is drop dead gorgeous! I'll bet it draws a crowd.

Me too I bought some chrome mesh - slightly larger mesh than V-model mesh - and installed it over the existing plastic grill. Looks great and ACC still works fine.

San Antonio gathering You should join the Cadillac/Lasalle Club of America. That way you could at least associate with other Caddy owners. Also, the CLC is having it's national convention and drive-in next June in San Marcos, Tx, which is just north of San Antonio. Maybe you could combine one...

Road trip? Yes. I definitely am in favor of a road trip (or two) while there. Would really enjoy driving some of those squiggly country roads, especially if we do different routes going and coming to see a greater variety.
