its been great here also, but the Alberta Clipper just came roaring through, started snowing 3hrs ago and already have 6" on the ground. We'll have 12" by morning and it will definitely hit you late tomorrow.

dealer called, another $600 required for replacement of the water pump and gaskets. This is more preventative at this point and is being done because they are already deep into the engine on other work so access is easy at this point.
Also, Dealer called Cadillac who indicated that there is no...
thanks for all the suggestions. I just did a quick search and found a number of options for a shipping address in Montana, some of which home the shipments and others re-ship. I think I'll go that way and save $600!

Matt - thank you for reaching out.
The repair estimate on my XLR is now close to $5000, but I am happy with the dealer to this point. My initial experience with the service writers wasn't impressive, but it seems that once the techs were involved things started going well.
So far...
looks like the dealer was pretty thorough, working a $4500 repair tab so far!!! I've got the list of items at work but most of the items seem legit. I'm not too upset about the bill as long as they do a good job. They confirmed the original rad had been replaced (one of the connections is...

Now I just need some luck in finding some nice chrome C6 wheels. I would consider some 19" XLR-V chrome wheels but wow are they ever...
I must be getting older...I found myself doing some work in the garage yesterday, putting stuff away, and noticed that I was labeling everything as if I was going to forget what it was for!
aRTHUR7 - by "headlight problems" and given the other info you provided, can I assume you had some electrical issues with the headlights and not the melted bezels/lenses that afflicted 2004/2005 models? My headlights are melted but I can't really say that I've had any electrical gremlins.
OK, since I don't know the history of my XLR, the first thing I wanted to do was get it into a Cadillac dealer to have an inspection and full service. I dropped into the two local Cadillac dealers in person to talk to their service departments as I wanted to get a feel for who might have more...
exactly Bruce, now I just need to decide on the color! To that end, I'd like to hear from the members - which color of red do you think I should go with on my Thunder Grey XLR?
Crystal Red, Torch Red, Infrared or Crimson Pearl?
I'm going to upgrade the wheels/tires as soon as I find exactly...
I've been keeping an eye on C6 wheels locally as a possible upgrade for my XLR. I've read a bunch of threads on the subject, but just wanted to confirm if these would fit:

18x8.5 front and 56 offset
19x10 inch rear and 72 offset

Based on everything...
I would love to take a spin have have them installed by CadillacTech, but it might be a bit much of a drive! Luckily, I've contact Bruce via PM and it sounds like I can get the calipers shipped to Canada! I'm thinking of going with Red calipers, to give my thunder gray XLR a shot of color!

thanks for the photos everyone!
I was thinking of having it powder coated red, but it doesn't look like it would be visible enough to warrant the effort.
I got a call back today from a local firm that can supply & install the Corsa and CAI, just are just confirming availability or parts.
