Thanks Gord. Probably both had to be replaced at one time several years ago, and that is what the dealer used at the time. Just a guess, but obviously not the original fobs. Have a good day!

My recent purchase of a 2005 XLR (think it is a late 2004) has 2 fobs with it, and both have a "remote start" button on fob (see pic). Tried this and does not work on either one. Wondering if this was optional, but I have seen other fobs with cars for sale, and do not have that button. Any info...

Hi All. Glad to hear mmagic's issue was resolved easily! The 2005 I just got, I just noticed a "loud whining" when I turned on the AC/climate on a hot day last weekend and fan went full speed. If I turned fan down, whining got much quieter. Did not hear this when I test drove car in early June...

Hello, I have been liking and searching for an XLR for about 5 years. Saw one at a show back then and remembered how cool they looked! Just found one in June while on a work trip to Fla, bought it and had it shipped to PA. Wife said I would not be happy until I got one! Drove it some so far...
