Lol..unfortunetly i called 4 of the closest cadillac dealers and they all told me the same thing..only one guy had heard of an xlr certified n he is in forth worth, TX ... 4hrs away from houston...so i decided to take to d closest cadillac dealer:dunno:

I had an accident on driver side so i replace the door n window n now im replacing the window regulator ...i purchase on ebay the regulatorWITH NO MUDULE so i installing it now and it dont work ....i put in the regulator connect the old module hook all the cables and nothing .......all it does...

Yeap i answer my own question ... i put back the crispy rusted corriosion module back and the car turn on as it should ..... So that module controls more stuff than just the suspension .or the water didnt damage it completly as i though

My reservoir on the trunk got full of water ... and i remove the two modules and they were full of corrosion and rust.. so i remove them clean the reservoir and now im trying to start the engine and as soon as i push the start with my foot on the pedal the car shusts down with all the lights ...

i havent drive my 04xlr in a while due to an accident and it also been in some intense rain and im ready to fix it and the top and trunk will not open .The trunk unlocks with the key and with the FOB and i can open it manually but it will NOT go up automatically after reading almost every forum...

THANKS GUYS !!!!!!! found the problem as you all said the shift cable was hanging and it wasnt touching the transmission .... did a lil of fixing myself so i can move it around in the meatime before i get a new shift cable

Ok, so you all guys can get in your car and not close the door ,turn it on, put i on reverse with the door still open and dash saying left door ajar, and backing up with the door still open ,and no have no problems doing it??? 1st i though because the car was in some sort on security mode...
