Steve, Would they not let you in with your base XLR? Cubby has gotten me in last year at Elkhart Lake. I bet if you requested they would let you since no XLR's were on display, may want to ask.

Had one of mine break off also many years ago. I just put a small dab of silicone adhesive and stuck it back down. It has been fine ever since. Who ever uses the headlamp washers anyway? Stupid idea to even put them on the car.
