I tried this link, but was unable to find the repair process for the center console cover. I have an 08 with th same problem. I took it to a repair shop, but they were unable to fix it. Any assistance would be appreciated. I know it is more than just a latch. On side appears to be broken loose.

Just clean the contacts on the old ones and use them as spares.

The center console cover problem is common on all XLRs. I have a standard 08 with the same problem. I just don't think it's worth the repair.

Gord, how do they do the programming?

I have over 70K on my 08 with very few problems. The typical door switch require cleaning and the center console cover mechanism failing (that I've never bothered to fix).

Keep the old one and try to clean it as a spare to swap out.

They are easy to fix. Just clean the contact points.

Can't you remove the existing switch and have it matched at an auto parts store?
