I had a similar situation on my '06.. Not the inner white lighting, but hyper flash. I also had failing LED's . Had it rebuilt by Travis Wolff . P/S was part of my issue. (failure can be cascading in effect) as yours may be. Rebuild is 600.00 P/S is additional

There is also a manual release lever down there under the dash. Be careful to have your hand clear of the brake mechanism, if you chose to or have to go this route.

Get a helper to assist. Get your metal key and go to the rear bumper. Open the little one inch square door on the rear bumber fascia. Turn the key and have the helper lift up on the rear deck lid. Do this slowy, till full up. Inside to the left , find a plastic "T" handle . I think it...

Just as a side note, it is recommended to NOT use "home made CD's in these units. Dimensionally they just don't function as a professionally made CD does.

Replaced the shift linkage bushings out back. Just in time. There was no bushing there at all. It was just a matter of time. Lucky me : )
I ordered the bushing for the front.
Question: How difficult is that replacement job? What is involved ?

I'm in the home stretch of replacing the starter in my V. Hope that is not your ultimate predicament, though understandably the replacement in the standard X is easier. Let me tell you, I give the boys at GM an "F" for design of starter placement. Under the manifold??? Really...
