You cannot change the volume to balance out volume when switching between SAT radio and other modes. It is annoying but I also find old CD recordings are not as loud as new recordings so my thumb gets a workout on the volume switch.

I purchased a nice 2006 infrared /ebony US car. Will still consider a Canadian low miler if available for reasonable price.

I had a similar problem and the fault was in the thermostat. It did not heat up quickly enough which gave a fault and if it happens twice the temp guage goes to zero. Mine had part of the seal jamming up the stat so it never closed 100%. Change the stat and go from there - it is a cheap fix...

According to the Autotrader here in Canada there is a 2008 V purple with cashmere. I am guessing it is the Goldmist Platinum Edition which according to the numbers available only 9 base models were ever made and this one is a V. Could it be a one off?? It is selling cheap too $40000 Canadian...

Awesome! Are you trying to get one in every color? I am guessing you are buying the one in Michigan. I have found that some of the GM dealers still have these as their personal vehicles like that one and have kept them.

2009 XLR-V Electra Blue under 1000 mi $90000 on ebay now - same pics as last spring when it was for sale

There is a 2009 Electra blue XLR-v under 1000 miles on it in Las Vegas for $90,000 on Ultimatecarpage.com. This must be the same one that sold last year in MI but asked only $79000 then.

Both of my XLRs experienced this from time to time. I have also had issues twice with the trunk not closing etc. I look at these problems as "computer" issues and you need to reboot them. Re-indexing the windows or running the top a couple of times through its cycle solves the problems.
