Also, there was a couple of items that were over looked that need replacement. The cracked radiator cover. The metal Armrest bezel. The insurance paid for the parts, but it was over looked somehow. No big deal. Just order them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

HRE 543R: Testing clearances on 2007 XLR

Okay, the $64,000 question. Does the 2009 XLR rear bumper fix onto prior years? Well, it's a yes and no answer. I dropped by the shop and the owner explained. The 2009 using different sensors which are larger in diameter vs previous years. Thus in order to reuse older sensors you must use a...

Looks like the vents are not your typical stick-on decal, but the fender will need cut outs. This shouldn't be an issue since my is at a custom shop. It's my guess you'll have to have a study hand to complete the task. Either way these vents are detailed to the macks! Sent from my iPhone...

The shop thought that the rubber seals that surrounds the rear bumper sensors came stock in black. I showed the shop the error, so the rear bumper comes off. This will give me time to come back with the side vents if I can get back in time before they close today. Before After. Not...

Obviously, I'm going to need to get the 2009 XLR center tailpipes, so I ordered them today. It looks my car won't be ready today, but I'm very pleased with the outcome that Trends Body Shop. It took nearly 10-months, but who cares. I upgraded to newer parts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is going to sound silly, but left the house without picking up the XLR fender vents :) Anyway, the show must go on! Ah yes, the grill. I'm in love all over again :) Out with the old and in with the new :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, hopefully tomorrow I'll get to drop by the shop and put to rest the issue regarding the side vents. Either way, the shop can handle the problem (if there is such a problem). I'm just looking forward in seeing the car back together again, but with new front and rear fascia plus hood :)...

The spray nozzle are mounted prior to installing the front fascia. The "caps" are mounted after the fascia is on the car (press & turn). The caps are old and sometimes they break when removing them prior to painting. My old caps one of them broke and it's best (IMO) to use double adhesive tape...

Car pick-up for next week. Only three items that need attention: the washer caps, rear view mirror, and the rain sensor (or whatever that is located on the front windshield. After that, it's cut n' buff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
