Cadillac XLR arm rest lid removal How can I remove the the padded for a color change?

Has anyone had experience with the installation of aftermarket seats? Pitfalls? Things to avoid? Currently my 2006 is showing wear! Thanks. Hal in Florida

I cannot get the surge tank cap to come off! I depress the cap and unscrew and it comes almost off-but the clicks when turned further and will not release. Time to replace the cap--if I can get it off.
