Low oillevel
Thanks onalaska,
I think your on to something. This car was pampered, never pushed over 50. I push it now, accelerate
through the gears, shifting close to redline, but don't go much over 80.
Low oil level display
One more thing I purchased this car with 16,000 miles it was pampered by an elderly lady.
Its hard to believe a car with 43K miles would need rings or valve seals/guides replaced.
Low Level Oil Display
Thanks for your response onalaska.,
No oil leakage, I keep it in the garage and would notice that. No smoke from the exhaust either.
Maybe I drive it to rough.
Guess if it continues Ill just trade it in on something else. Love the car though.
I have a 2007 Cadillac XLR Base. With 43,052 miles.
It is needing a quart of oil added between oil changes.
It has been 1,311 miles and two months since the last oil change, 84% oil life remaining and now the “low oil level” is displayed.
I’ll have to add a quart.
Any suggestions/
Thanks
I brought it to Tires Plus today and they put it on the lift.
They found a large bubble on the inside sidewall of the rear tire.
Don't know how it happened.
I needed tires soon anyway so I replaced the tires and it rides perfect again.
I appreciate every ones input.
Thanks again
Thanks, I think you hit the "nail" on the head! No pun implied.
About two weeks ago I had a flat fixed on the right front tire. I think the tire balancing weight probably fell off.
Thanks again for your help.
I feel a bump….bump, …bump…bump at about 20MPH if I go faster the bumps get less obvious but more frequent. Tire pressure in all four wheels is 31PSI. Checked tires (visual inspection) can’t see any lumps. Etc. the steering wheel is steady with no vibration. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Does anyone know if you can order the leather for the XLR interior from GM?
I have the two toned interior black and cashmere, The black on the dash and window molding, is that leather or vinyl.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks
I have a 2007 XLR and the sticker on the door jam says the the correct tire pressure should be 30 PSI, however every time I have my car serviced (Cadillac service) they put 37 PSI in the tires. I should check it before I leave, When I notice it, usually when I get home, I lower it to 30 PSI...
Thanks for your reponse.
I was going with the cashmere, because it appears that is what GM calls it. but if you say the Lt Shale Velourtex is a perfect match I will change it to that color.
I am considering going with the Cadillac Logo because it contains the Gold color which I believe goes...
I am in the process of ordering new floor mats. I have a infered XLR with cashmere and black interior.
I am torn between the black floor mats with silver emblem and the cashmere floor mats with the gold emblem. I currently have the plain cashmere floor mats and have no idea how the black would...
I have a 2007 base XLR. Recently I have had to add a quart of oil between oil changes. My car has 40K miles on it and it appears the last oil change was about 3k miles ago. Now the low oil message appears. It needs another quart of oil. is this normal or a red flag??
I do mostly highway driving.
I just drove a Camaro Xl1 with only 7.5K miles and it already needed tires! I heard that the XLR V was rough on tires also. I have a base XLR with 15K miles on the tires and they are still good. Is 7K what I can expect on tires if I upgrade to a V?
Thanks
