    hydraulic fluid The reservoir is located in the rear of the trunk on drivers side. You must lift the carpet to access. At first it appears that the carpet is not meant to be lifted but you can do it but be careful not to damage it. I do not know what fluid to use. I never have needed any.

    I have owned a 2005 XLR for 5 years and never serviced the lowering/raising mechanism. Does it require periodic service? I have had no trouble with it.
