Same problem Hi, mine does exactly the same thing. Tech 11 showed B1297. So I ordered the senser, does not fit in the assembly ? Took the assembly apart & found the small motor operating the worm gear would not release the trunk lid. How did you fix yours?

Hi, takes 3 tries to open trunk lid! It goes up maybe 2" for 5 seconds, then 3 tries later it completely opens. Also sometimes the top stops 1/2 way up. Then 3 tries later it works. Got it checked on a Tech 11, shows a senser in the rear trunk assembly code B1297. Can anybody give me a part...
