According to my tire size converter 235/50R18 and 235/45R19 are of equal diameters, so the 235/45R19 tires should not need to have the speedometer re calibrated. :cool:

I had several problems obtaining a new key fob for my 2004 XLR. Only fobs GM #10347463 (fob #1) and #10337464 (fob #2)would work. Any other fobs from other model years would not work. :cool:

I only get one chime at the end of the top cycle on my 2004, so that may be normal.v:cool:

Nalley Buick GMC in Brunswick, GA lists the strut as GM part #10446862. If you look around on the internet you will probably find the part cheaper, but I have found them to be a good source for GM part numbers.

If you can smell the hydraulic fluid do a quick visual and see if can see were it is leaking, if you can't see a leak anywhere then feel around to see if you get the fluid on your hand. Then you will have a place to start. If you get hydraulic fluid on your hands wash it off your skin ASAP...

I haven't got my own tech2 yet, but from all I have read here I see that I need to get one soon. :cool:

It doesn't seem like it should be that different, but the owners manual does say "Turn off the engine and give the oil several minutes to drain back into the oil pan. If you do not do this, the oil dipstick might not show the actual level." so I would believe what you see when the engine is...

I had a similar problem with my 2004 XLR the trunk would only open with the key in the rear bumper. Not with the fob, not with the top switch, not with the switch under the steering-wheel and not with the button on the trunk itself. My problem turned out to be the valet switch in the glove-box...

There was no fluid at any GM dealer in Tucson, so the Chevy Dealer got a bottle sent down from Phoenix. The number has changed, it is 88865214 now. It is pricy thru the dealer it was $46.70 + tax. I went ahead and got it from the dealer because I wanted it now. I could have got it for under...

According to the information here on xlr-net, it takes fluid GM #89022748. And according to information that I found on gmpartseast.com the number may have changed to 88865214. :cool:

I just went out to the garage to check my retractable top fluid level and it wasn't empty but it was way low so I will get some fluid and fill it tomorrow. Thanks for the help. :wave:
