I went to cadillac to download the owners manual for the V and while I could get it for the non-v, I couldnt get it for the V. Fuse 18 on the non V in the instrument panel fuse block is the airbags, and fuse 18 under the hood is the headlamp washer. The rear window defogger relay is #40. Its...
Very Interesting David, I am very curious and if I find anything Ill report back. Glad you are in good shape now. Thx

Terrific, an odd fix however. Did fuse 18 repair then allow the PCM to be accessed/read?, and then you were able to program the key fob?
What year is your car?, I am curious what other things fuse 18 is responsible for. I want to call up the owners manual.

The fuel pump not only pumps fuel, the fuel level sensor is attached to it and the pcm uses the data to drive the gage on your dash. You seem to be having a problem with both the gage and pump. Each can have problems independently.
What year is your car, can you pull the Powertrain (p)...
Have you had battery problems recently? Are the connections at the battery clean and tight? Have you been jumped? Try disconnecting the negative cable and letting the system reboot. Get all codes P, B and C codes and post them

Yes it is working for codes, but the keyfob is in the BCM. Its the BCM that is not communicating. Have your friend check for U network codes, maybe the BCM has a network error. That said, consider what I said above as a guide, I am not experienced with your systems, it may or may not have...
I just sent a note to my buddy at caddyinfo, he had an xlr, maybe he will recall something.
Check the info above from xlrlist01 similar issue

I have been racking my mind, I vaguely recall this happening before

The dealer should know that this is a CAN network. I posted a link to manually program the key fob above.
I would try disconnecting the battery at the negative battery cable and then try to access with Tech 2, but I am sure caddy did that

I don't know how cadillac was unable to find the problem. What year is this car? If it has strut mounts have them checked. In the FWD cadillacs if you hold the coil spring as the steering wheel is turned you can feel the strut mount pop. I am not sure what the front end looks like on yours...
Philly's Bella Donna, I can not understand how Mr. Carroll lays this at Jake's feet when he has nothing to do with this. He has ignored that their is strength in numbers and that facts trump lies. He doesnt realize that we have pushed Jake away because this has nothing to do with Jake, Jake...
