Hi, New to the XLR.net group/new 2006 XLR

Hello, I'm in NJ as well. Prior to buying my 2006 XLR-V I investigated where the car could be worked on properly. I am very happy that Johnson Cadillac in Budd Lake has a specialist on staff that's been there for 30+ years. The manager is Brian and not only knowledgeable, but also excited about...

    Future New Owner

I have an 06 XLR-V purchased last year. After reading the issues some owners have on this forum I am blessed to have gotten a good one. The car definitely has it's quirks (like having to reset the windows periodically and the Stabilitrak notice from time to time) but mine is trouble free. My...

My 2006 XLR-V is available for the right offer. I have a deposit on 911 Targa that should be arriving by the end of the year or early 2022. The car is very original and has about 42k on the odometer. It's properly serviced. Since taking possession I've added bluetooth, 4 new Pirelli's and an...

    Service stabilitrak 2006 XLR V

I have that pop up from time to time. The dealer wanted $600 to replace some sensor near the steering column. I noticed that it pops up only if I drive the car hard from a dead stop. So I don't do that anymore. I've had the car a year, put about 3,000 miles on it and maybe have seen it 5 or 6...

UPDATE ON MY 2006 AND DEALER FIASCO

Not that I'm a fan of going after bad businesses, (I prefer just not to go back) but in this case I would write a detailed letter to GM about what happened. I suppose you had a loaner for an extended period of time, but regardless of what you ended up paying, maybe you can get a portion of it...

    Oil leak survey

After cleaning the oil pan and surrounding area with brake cleaner, an oil spot appeared on the front passenger side of the pan two days later - photo attached. Just looking to zero in on where the trouble spot might be. Thanks for your help.

    Oil leak survey

Hi Harry, I bought a 2006 XLR-V in June of 2020. The car is in great shape but it has an oil leak. Wasn't terrible but usually see a drip forming on a couple of bolts by the oil pan. I wipe them off and they'll reappear after a few days - again not a very bad leak. After purchasing I took it to...

    Driver Side Power Window Issue

I'm a new owner of a 2006 XLR-V and absolutely love the car. "Love" is a good thing because I'm quickly realizing there are quirks and issues that pop up out of nowhere. Yesterday my drivers side window went up all the way, but then immediately dropped down about half way. I cycled through many...
