I did notice my Xtools D7 was missing some features if I selected 2006 instead of 2005 on menu. The 2005 menu which is my year has everything I needed. I worn out the obd2 port by plugging and unplugging some many times on my suspension module builds. Running them through all the actuation...
Most of the time if the trunk opens the control top module is working, you will need to look at the live data on the module for signs of life and readings.
The famous car wizard had a similar problem with his XLR. The top would not perform a relearn. The problem was the Tech2's vmi was too old...
My tech2 is a reliable backup. Xtools D7 is cheaper than the Tech2 and is useful for all makes and models. I needed a modern Scanner for my Lexus and Silverado. My tech2 only went up to 2009.
I don't blame you for that. I really like the d7 because it is small and easier to use and works on other makes. Plus it can save reports and record real time data. I use it for bench testing my suspension bypass modules.
Well I found out why my tilt wheel would not fully go to the up position. There was a error code b2355-17 driver vertical position sensor this caused the seat calibration on the tech2 to not work. It stated "clear codes before calibration" I tried clearing the code but that didn't work. So next...
That worked. I'm sure the Tech2 would have been faster but i wanted to make find out if the Xtools D7 was making the error instead of fixing the error. It was and it did. So to recap the D7 seat calibration causes the steering wheel tilt/telescope to freeze. The D7 steering wheel column menu/...
Next using my xtools d7 in the seat menu, set up seat module. This cause the steering column to move is all positions then returning to the original position. The calibration ended. But the steering column would not move after that procedure. Next using the D7 I went to the steering wheel column...

I read you were having problems with the tilt wheel after hooking up the xtools d7 scanner. Did you ever resolve the issue? My tilt will only go up half way. It will tilt down and in and out. But not up all the way.
That's correct once the bypass is installed the old suspension module can be removed. I've also created a new plug and play suspension module that restores the magneride system to factory specs. No splicing needed just plug and play. It took a long time to find the correct parts and build the...
Any non-magnetic-ride shocks for a C6 corvette 2005-2013. I recommend the bilstiens but there are cheaper
ones available. Check rockauto.com for a good selection and price.
Contact me at Strandcaster@currently.com. I'll give you info to fix this problem. You can get your money back on those casper simulators. My fix cost $425. I had to raise my price by $50 due to increase cost for parts. 100% money back guarantee. I've never had an unsatisfied customer.
Service ride control message will effect the ride quality. You must use a scan tool like a tech2 to read the voltage to the ride height sensors and shocks. The scanner will tell you if the the module needs replacing or if the sensors or shocks have become disconnected.
If the module need...
Car Wizard said in the video he was going to have to replace the control top module because the top would not go down. I noticed his trunk opened using the fob so i emailed him and told him to try the tech2 relearn. I walked him through the procedure of relearning with a tech2. His problems was...
